Proposal for mbumive changes to clbumes rather than new clbumesSomeone want to draw a diagram to indicate what beats what?
Still, I very very very much agree that what we do not need is “more clbumes” and what we do need is “more interesting clbumes.” If we can make the current clbumes play in ways more compelling than “spam most powerful available attacks” then we can work on new clbumes, but kindly not before. Petition to keep the turkey in the ppwne shoppe permanentlyJacksonKelley Posted:
Really, it’s better in the long run for the game to have a peen for “throwing away 3.6 million flezz” than “being logged in on the right day, paying attention to Ppwn, and then throwing away 3.6 million flezz.”
Getting rid of excess flezz is more important than keeping a peen exclusive. (view post) |

KoL questionZi Posted:
Jick plays ForumWarz. His character is a camwhore. At least, one can gleam this from his comments (I don’t recall any other character clbum that enables you to look at breasts while playing, but perhaps I’m doing it wrong.)
As for the original question, note that doing the arena quest in a wossname effort is completely pointless, since you only get the benefits of completing the arena quest if there are hippies/fratboys around to go to the concert. If the side who would prefer the schedules concert is bombed back to the stoneage, nobody goes to the concert so there’s no way to get the benefit from the quest after the war is over. So don’t do that one. Feel free to do the others, if you like.
Generally the most efficient wossname strategies involve doing the quests as you go though.

The furry clbum: Lets get some actual work done.Really, the reason I don’t think the furry fits in with the other clbumes is that the clbumes in ForumWarz are largely grouped around “the way this type of person ruins the internet, or internet communities.” Trolls ruin communities by being bumholes and inspiring rage. Emos and Camwhores are shameless attention seekers and general fonts of drama. Re-Res and Permanoobs are just sufficiently stupid (yet oddly adorable) that they drive other, more sensible, people up the wall. Hackers deploy malicious code that actually damages websites, plus they’re smug about it.
What to furries do? I would posit that furries don’t even destroy internet communities, at the very least they don’t destroy them without displaying some of the behavior archetypes outlined above. Certainly you have Furries that cause trouble by being emo (“Nobody understands that deep down, I’m really a trout, and all I want to do is swim upstream” ), you have Furries that cause trouble by being ****y and starting fights (i.e. they’re trolls), you have Furries that cause trouble by being shameless attention whores who generate drama and post a lot of pics of hot yiffings and shiny new mascot suits. But a furry that just goes about his or her business posting on the internet isn’t necessarily a bane to an internet community. A furry (who’s not a troll, emo, hacker, noob, or camwhore) doesn’t really have a way to show up in an online community and cause trouble. Really, the only way a furry can cause trouble (without acting like one of the five extant clbum types) is by saying “Hey, I’m a furry” and that will only cause a ruckus proportional to how much the people in that forum hate furries, and some people just aren’t going to care (i.e. “You like to dress up like a beaver? Okay. Why do I care? We’ve all got weird hobbies…” ).
So insofar as the name of the game is “showing up to online communities, causing trouble, and then leaving”, I don’t think “furry” is a good idea for a clbum. As much as we might like to make fun of them, they just don’t fit.
Alternatively, make the furry clbum but make it something that’s only accessible by multiclbuming. That is, let people be emo furries, camwhore furries, noob furries, etc. but don’t let people be “just furries”. Alternatively, it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad idea to put more optional trees in the existing clbumes to represent the different flavors of troll, emo, whore, etc. Would anybody really object to giving Trolls a skill tree that basically represents “sharing your disgusting hobbies with the world”? I mean, it fits and it describes furry-trolls to a t.
But I don’t like it as a sixth clbum. (view post) |

The furry clbum: Lets get some actual work done.Veer Posted:
This. Please make the other clbumes more interesting, unique, and more mechanically complex than “spam most powerful attack every round” before you go adding five or six unique abilities to a clbum that doesn’t exist, may not exist, and doesn’t really have a compelling reason to exist. (IMO, “furry” just doesn’t seem to fit in with the other five clbumes thematically.)
Plus, if damage over time is added to the game, it makes much more sense that hackers should get it at least before if not instead of other clbumes. Really, other clbumes should have at least 3 things unique about them before we roll out a clbum that has five or six unique mechanics. (view post) |

Santa's Raffle?encryption Posted:
Isn’t this explained in the STalk conversation you have with him? He needs in order to cure his priapism, which is something he can’t do with the materials at the north pole, nor does the north pole economy offer him the opportunity to raise the necessary if he did decide to cut corners. I mean, who pays Santa?
Plus, asking for narrative justification for something the developers want to do is generally odd and unproductive. (view post) |

Timed jobs are impossible to completeThe times for these things (and for lemon scoops) do need to be revised following the recent series of nerfs, I believe ET said he would do this, but I don’t think he has yet.
Also, having the times for these things be clbum-specific would be nice. Clbumes that can spam their two most powerful attacks as “1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2” are going to go faster than, say, Hackers who go “3,1,4,1,2,1,5,1,6,1,3,1,4”. Or at least, requiring one clbum to need more keyboard dexterity to speedrun than any other clbum needs seems… weird.
In the meantime, I just never attempt these things. (view post) |

New computers would be nice, as I believe everybody’s been toting the pruneserv for a while, but they really aren’t needed for processing power. (view post) |

Since every person playing the game is capable of getting darkside, I don’t see how it would really be a problem. It might create tiers of “has darkside” and “doesn’t have darkside”, but how much of a problem is that, really?
The worst thing that could happen is that it could be necessary to be competitive in high level PvP, but that’s a problem that’s solvable by including other really good files that could compete with it.
But really, if player A is willing to put in the ridiculous grind to get this file and player B isn’t, player A deserves to have the advantage over player B in PvP. If we’re going to reward anything in PvP, it ought to be “effort put towards character development”.
Though, to be honest, I don’t see FW really needing any sort of PvP system other than Dom. (view post) |

I’m really failing to grasp how “getting banned” is ever unavoidable. Admittedly, yes the rules are sort of scattered about all over the place and the moderators are people instead of all-knowing impartial god-robots, but can’t someone with a basic grasp of “forum etiquette” and “how not to be a complete worthless bumhole on the internet” essentially easily avoid anything that might get them banned?
