Regarding the new E-peen length system

Excellent solution. Narratively, people who aren’t elite enough to be playing ForumWarz should start at 0”. People who are leet enough to be playing this game should start at some nonzero value.

3” tells you “you have a tiny, tiny peen; you have not accomplished anything” while 6” tells you “you’re moving up in the world, keep it up.”

Length is fine, but I think we’re going about it wrong. Here’s a better way to do it, IMO.

1) There’s no cap to maximum peen length.

2) bumign a “degree of difficulty” to every peen in length. Harder peens would be worth more, easy peens worth less.

3) Remove dependence of peen length on what other people have, let the comparison be in “that guy’s peen is 32” and mine is only 13” and not “mine shrunk because somebody stopped being inactive Log in to see images!”.

There’s no reason to have 13” as a magic number, in fact outrageously long peen is kind of funny to think about, and there’s no good reason to have people’s peens shrink on the basis of other people’s success. Shrinking peen is not fun. I lost four inches today, but still gained three peens. There seems to be something wrong here. If it’s going to shrink not because of something I did, but because of something other people did I’d prefer just not to see the number anywhere.

25/50 in 20 visits with 65 luck. I wonder if I’m either “Unlucky” or just that all this luck is hurting me here.

I'm glad we got a harder forum but its still not challenging.

You know, it’s going to be hard to make this game challenging without making it woefully grindy. I mean, short of making something impossible, essentially any problem in this game can be solved simply by having high enough stats and using enough consumables. Get your defense significantly high that you take less than 300 damage from getting hit, and use your most powerful available attack whenever the forum misses, healing otherwise. That’ll pwn pretty much any forum that you would ever have any hope of pwning. Making this take longer, or preventing more expeditions strategies isn’t going to make the game better.

I mean, it’s a satirical web RPG. Since when are those supposed to be hard?

No delivery

I pwned two unique forums yesterday, and I think I only received deliveries from the one. I did the exact same forums today to see if the problem repeated itself.

Ohwell, at least flezz isn’t useful.

Better web spiders?

I think a reasonable upgrade to the current spider would work like this:

The first time it rolls up a .moar file piece, it checks if you already have that piece. If you have two or more copies of that piece already, it flips a coin and has a 50% chance of just electing to start over and reroll for what .moar piece you get the second time through, the second roll is final.

It’s just annoying to be working on a file and see you have five of one piece and are missing a half dozen other pieces.

Deliveries: Did I miss something?

Hmm… I pwned 2 unique forums yesterday: praypal twice and faded fame twice. I’m pretty sure I only got deliveries for one forum pwnage, since I only got about 5 items and the highest item was “the Italian” and I didn’t get any other big ticket items (no venuses, etc.)

An autoresizer might be nice but it’s not needed imo

I think it might be a reasonable thing to include since resizing pics isn’t necessarily simple to do in all operating systems. I know in Mac OS X the default image program (Preview) doesn’t do it, so in order to do it you need to open Automator and write a script that does it. It’s not hard, but it’s fairly unobvious.

I’m not sure I disagree with the article. The reason we type “I am not easily offended” is because the material in the game is, well, potentially offensive. There’s nothing wrong with that, a lot of great comedy is offensive. But there’s bad words, questionable activities, and objectionable content, but most of us are mature enough to recognize it as parody and not be bothered by it.

Saying “you may be offended by ForumWarz” is a reasonable thing to write in an article for a broad audience.
