About the useless program that only wastes space.execI can pwn cosplay at max threads using no consumables with 320 PP. The book, ripro, and the implant are really all you need if your build and other .moars are solid. I could probably get by without the hacker book, but I was a fool when I was a noob, and sold it. When comparing hackers to trolls remember that the main hacker attacks you use cost 10, 7, 0, 3, 0, 5, and 3 PP (so average of 4 1/6 PP per attack). Wherease trolls just spam two 8 DB attacks. If they deal comparable damage, the hacker should need less PP than the troll needs DB. (view post) |

Regardless, if your maximum bid is 10,000,000 flezz and I bid 2,000,000 flezz the current high bid should at least have to beat 2,000,000 flezz. The way proxy bidding systems are supposed to work is if somebody else bids an amount higher than the current bid but below your max, they lead the bidding very briefly before the computer rebids for you by proxy the lowest amount that is both below the max bid set and would beat the new high bid.
Currently the way things work is if the current high price (and reserve) is 1,000,000 and the max bid is 10,000,000, if you were to bid say 2,000,000, you will be told that you were outbid and the high price in the auction will become 1,002,000 or some number significantly less than 2,000,000. The person with the most flezz should always win, but only when they are willing to part with a sizeable portion of that flezz.
As it works now, if the min bid of something is at 10,000 flezz and that person has a maximum bid of 100,000,000 flezz, then they will get the item for 10,000 flezz because nobody else has more than 100,000,000 to bid. Both the seller and the other potential buyers ought to take exception to this. (view post) |

kyoubai issues, put em here or listen to mine hehWhen I place a bid on an item that is lower than the maximum bid somebody else has set, their bid does not increase to beat mine. At least, I’ve encountered this problem on at least one auction.
This is problematic for a few reasons: 1) It’s confusing. eBay doesn’t work this way, and really everybody’s expectations about how “internet auctions” are supposed to work are based on eBay’s proxy bidding. I kept bidding the same bid over and over again, to see if this was a bug. If your max bid is 200,000 and I bid 100,000 the current high bid should at least have to beat 100,000.
2) It removes the opportunity to use the auction house as a griefing vector.
3) It’s open to abuse. Any person on top of the flezz board could win any auction at reserve price by bidding more flezz than anybody else in the game has.
4) Not punishing people for nuclear bidding is full of fail. (view post) |

I think this is a great idea. Creativity is a lot easier when you have some kind of guideline or inspiration, and it would certainly improve the overall game if the community forums weren’t disproportionately in one or two themes.
At least occasionally, if Forumbuildr could say: “This week we’re going to do a forum about nerd culture” or “this week we’re going to do a corporate forum”, and all forums that didn’t fit were just tossed, that would probably result in a better overall product. (view post) |

Fixing Forumbuilr Turnout and QualityHere’s the problem I have here. I’m not a habitual forumbuildr contributor. Periodically I come up with an idea for a forum that I like, and I submit it on monday. More often than not I get a couple of chocolate scoops and then it’s downvoted to -5 for whatever reason. So my buildr score never gets above, say, 1 or 2.
So I suppose if you wanted to keep me from participating in voting for at least the forums I like, that wouldn’t be terribly unreasonable. I’d just stop participating entirely. Too bad for me, but no great loss I suppose. (view post) |

I think Forumbuildr could be greatly improved just by having a mod enforce that forums too similar in theme to any in the last 2-3 weeks would be removed from consideration for that week.
