Or, really more importantly, the adjustment to the sale price of every item.
While I do honestly feel for the relatively few resellers who likely just lost thousands of Flezz with each sale, now that Frugality caps at 51 instead of 54, I feel more for every player who just lost 600 on the sale of each Venus de Milo they had or will get (and some amount from everything else they might sell).
And especially for those players who just saw the value of the junk collections they’ve been holding onto lose value with no chance to decide if they’d rather have the Flezz than the collection.
I guess they’ll just have to put it all on Kyoubai and hope to recover the value. bumuming it’s not called abuse.(view post)
And the Falcon Preservation Donor Receipt is now only worth 53,200, so if this was an intended change to Frugality, way hurt the Flezz totals of all the people who want to be nice and not clog up the Leaderboard with high numbers by not selling everything they have. Again.
Without any warning or announcement. Again.(view post)
Those are pretty good suggestions for quests, though, Questbuildr or not.(view post)
Oh, sure, *right* after I bid on Blood Splatter Art!
Of course, it’ll probably go to someone on the front page of the Flezz board, but at least it’ll make it might make it a little easier for people to get to the top.(view post)
This is all great stuff.

Where’s the cake?(view post)
If we keep putting hard caps on scoops, we may as well put a hard cap on all scoop flavors, so we can have a reward for a ‘perfect’ game, where you get max scoops in every category over the course of a round.
Antifreeze is artificially capped and Lemon and Pistachio are mechanically capped. If we put a hard cap on Vanila, we may as well put one on Chocolate, so we can avoid some sort of ridiculous scheme in two months where someone breaks Domination by gaining thousands of Chocolate scoops by playing INCIT for three days while sub, itting their thousand forumbuildr entries and restart all this drama.
Some people actually try to get medals with all of their alts. If you prevent alts from gaining scoops in raids, you may as well just make people only have one character eligible for scoops and designate some number of additional characters as ‘backup’ who don’t gain scoops but can still influence Domination.
If raiding scoops are such a problem that letting them build up on characters other than the ones in the top brackets is a problem, then we’re still doing it wrong.
One additional, completely serious question:
If you have more then 5 characters, you must choose which 5 will participate in Domination (or the first 5 characters to earn scoops are automatically chosen)
Would it be possible to have the option to have this selection turned on if you have five or fewer characters? As it stands now, someone with six characters can opt out of Domination, but someone with five characters (which is also the number of non-Re-Re clbumes) doesn’t get that option.
More than once I’ve thought it would be nice to turn off Domination so I could run turns without interfering with my own clan’s raids and schemes. I don’t always have time to do much more than run four of my twelve stored visits in the hour before rollover so as to not lose visits (can’t top the leaderboard if I’m falling behind), but that doesn’t mean I want to screw over my klanmates who might be trying to solo, or raid, or whatever.
I’m sure there are other reasons someone might like this, as well.(view post)

Despite being in the Board, I don’t raid much, nor (at this point) do I put much effort into solo raids, but I still get vanilla periodically. I’d like to be able to help out on the occasional raid, but with all these new rules, caveats, and restrictions, it’s looking more like, unless I put all of my attention towards not disqualifying myself, I won’t be able to raid should I get the opportunity.
Seriously, I’ve been considering getting another alt just so I can turn off scoops (wat? A BoD member doesn’t have six characters already?), so I don’t have to think about this mess until my schedule lets me join a raid.
Though, now I only have a fifteen minute chance, to help out, as opposed to being able to join in at any point.
I guess it’s like finding out that the only baseball league is the totally serious pro-league with a mandatory schedule and expulsion for missing a game, when you’d just like to play for the occasional game with no commitments like you used to.
For some people, raiding isn’t a lifestyle! Help a casual player out here! Unless the point is to drive all the casual Dom-ers out of Dom.(view post)
Bad idea. All you do is cripple the sales of legitimate items, while adjusting which items are used for Flezz transfers.
A pink floyd Kyoubai price is 50,000 Versnatche Kyoubai price is 504,000 .
Any general bid limitations are easily bypbumed by using more expensive items, or more auctions, and such limitations just cripple the perfectly reasonable, but drastically inflated, sales of reasonable and rare items.
Bid restrictions on store items just means using moar files, or more sales of store items (at no risk, since you’re always selling it for more than what you paid).
The half of point of an auction site is to get people to pay you way more than something is worth. Not letting people pay way more than something is worth takes out most of the appeal, and there are plenty of common items that cost more than the rare items people will overpay for.(view post)
Oh, yes!(view post)
Because, to reverse the logic, no one would have sold a pink floyd if the auction was limited to 303,000 .
A limited bid price just makes all the rare moar files not worth selling. What would you limit the price to? 1000x (303,000 for pink floyd, pre-adjustment). All that would mean is people would have been swapping Versnatche for 500,000,000 (or whatever moderately expensive store item), and not selling floyds. Alternately, everything rare can be ridiculously expensive, and not worth using because of repair costs.
Limited bid prices means not selling rare items, and having an auction site full of things you can buy or find easily. While that might be great for newbies and people who haven’t bought Episode 2, it’d be pretty boring for everyone else. Taking advantage of differences in Frugality is cute and all, but not the most interesting part of an auction site.
If there was some sort of ‘easy solution’ to auction fixing, I’m sure Ebay would love to hear about it, ‘cause they certainly haven’t figured it out yet.

Does that mean we have some hope of getting all the lost proxy bid bug flezz back, too? Log in to see images! (view post)
The real question is, will we all need to report every loss to have any hope of recovering the Flezz? Or is all the flezz lost to the proxy bid system lost forever, even after it’s fixed?(view post)
