Just to show reasoning behind what’s going on, the approach was to deal mainly with three problems – solo raiding taking forever (especially without alts), klan raiding being completely useless, and pistachio streaks being all powerful. Yes there were other things that could be worked on, but with the time and resources available, the people involved felt this was the best way to go.

In case anyone is wondering – spacekadt and I both were at least observers of pretty much the whole process, which is why we’re in position to talk about it.

As of yet, no.

Also don’t know if this has been mentioned yet – but all seasons will now be standardized at 20 weeks.

Will the last week of this or future seasons be worth double scoops?

Will theme weeks be implemented at regular intervals during the future seasons? Or show up before this season is over?

This actually looks much better than I’d expected when I first heard some of the change rumors.

Will the changes in dom include more real life skills than there has been previously?

Okay, so having used the new Dom system, some observations:

– You would have to be an idiot to run forums if you have less than twelve. The vanilla scoops are amazingly easy to rack up, and vanilla raiding is a MUCH faster process (ran a raid that yielded 68 scoops in about ten minutes)

– It doesn’t seem like re-norming the lemon scoops did much; I still pulled the full 36 for my run

Time will tell on the pistachio scoops, but it’s looking like running 12- and 13-forum raids is now a requirement rather than an option. Interestingly, this might mean that any character strong enough to pwn 12 forums (so around level 4) can now compete on essentially the same level as a level-capped character.

Pistachio scoops will be given as “normal” up to a streak of 56 forums pwned. With 60, your pistachio award will begin at 1 scoop and follow the same award numbers as if you had zero forums in your streak.

Interesting question I’ve got. And what happens after I pwn 112 forums? Does it goes over 26 scoops in that scenario?

In other words, is Pistachio capped by just 56, or by multiples of 56?
