Ok, I did a little pack. Yellow for 1-9, orange for 10-19, and red for 20. (those were asked by JB on IDC, even though ET is colorblind)

Also Second Wife and MemeBusters/Panaroid Panorama/GASP have the same numbers but Second Wife is harder than all these 3 forums. |

The icons are now usable, but I liked the way they were immediately recognisable before. How about a colour graduation, starting with white > green > yellow > orange > red, through 20 different colours? Or some kind of mini difficulty bar integrated into the icons.
Or something completely different e.g. smileys with an increasingly angry or scary expression. |

I like the bars a lot better. You can easily see difficulty and easily find the forum you’re looking for out of a list. Just extend them by a box or two. Numbers = Log in to see images! |

How about red for Denture Chat, dark orange for old 1-bars, orange for old 2-bars, bright yellow for old 3-bars, light yellow for old 4-bars, white for old 5-bars, grey for SW, and black for GFOC and FN? |
