The clock on the front page showing the current time, EST, is really helpful for people like myself who live in the unwashed extremities of the world. I think it’ll be awesome if, along with the forum views remaining, it got stuck on permenantly somewhere.
Also, it would be awesome if we could have the main Flamebate page display the last thread posted in each particular forum.

Add the option of sending a friend Tubmail from his/her profile page. Makes for less clicking, and it works best when you just want to “PM” someone from the forums. |

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think the tubmail indicator should be more obvious. There’s a lot of space in the top orange bar, and things like a clock, forums view left, and tubmail indicator could be implemented nicely. |

I concur. Even if it isn’t possible to incorporate it into the orange bar, something on the main character page would be more than helpful. You have no idea how thankful I am that there is maintenance right now because it means I get a clock. Log in to see images! |

During combat, please make the “YOU CANNOT USE THIS AT THIS TIME” notification not make you unable to do anything. I get that people need to see it, but, I tend to click a little early. There’s a few ways to fix this.
1: rather than a popup, just have a little message pop up next to your cursor while clicking that fades out after a moment so it doesn’t disrupt gameplay
2: have clicking on an attack before your turn is ready queue it up and cause it to automatically activate as soon as it’s able to, like most MMOs can do.
3: just remove the popup, as I’m sure people will click twice on their own without needing to be screamed at by the game
It’s basically gotten to the point where I’m getting more annoyed at this little window than I am at losing against forums, simply because I tend to be a click-happy player.
Also, I’d love it if we could get a second bar for ‘combat’. I’ve run out of space. |

Seconding the second bar for combat. Either add it below the current bar or have a bumon that switches the first bar with the secondary one, and vice versa, if space or formatting is an issue.
I’ll also like to be able to see a numerical representation of the Ego/Tears and Forum Ego bars without having to mouse over them. Perhaps as an option that can be turned on/off in Optionals? |

We deffo need to do that. Generally speaking we need to make things way more user-friendly, interactive, and um…paradigmatic. (Sorry, I’m out of dot-com era buzzwords Log in to see images! |

one of the things you could do is move everything that is nothing to do with the world of forumwarz outside of the white space and vice versa, this creates a nice clear but subtle demarcation, and things can be moved around like your bookmarks could be on the screen of your “computer” but the link to the leaderboards and options and the help file can stay where they are on the top.
this is hardly a minor UI interface suggestion i know but i’m interested to hear what y’all think about it Log in to see images! |

Is there any way to make it so that every line break doesn’t end up as a new paragraph, complete with white space between? I ask only because it makes posting emo poetry less emo. Log in to see images! |

I think that a clock would be great as well. I think Forumwarz should have its own time so there doesn’t have to be any time zone switching. I guess you could look at hattrick for an example of the game clock. |

A clock and a “you have tubmail” icon in the nav bar would be peachy. You know exactly what would be the tubmail icon Log in to see images! |

Can we have a “sell junk” bumon on the top of the Pwn Shop as well as the bottom? It’s mildly annoying to have to scroll all the way down to sell stuff. If it’s too much hbumle, no biggie. Log in to see images! |

What about showing the time and thread of the last post in each forum in http://www.forumwarz.com/discussions ? |

Thanks for the “select all junk” bumon, Trout.
How about changing the Bookmarks interface so that it actually drops down like a real bookmark in Firefox? It would be interesting, and we can actually go to the different places faster I’ll think. Though this does beg the question of where the descriptions would go: maybe as a little floating box on the right of the drop-downs? |

eponymous_ennui Posted: My first stab at bookmarks worked this way, but people found it confusing in early tests. That might have just been my poor implementation though Log in to see images! The other problem of course is the forums have extra information XSS and FBO as well as the last time someone pwned it. Plus, in the future we can expect many more bookmarks, I don’t really want to be loading that mess on every request. And if it didn’t, it would involve some kind of Ajax trickery to only load the category you’re looking at, etc. For now just using a regular browser bookmark is pretty good solution, but maybe in the future we’ll add some more quick navigation or something. |
