Recently, while discussing how GTA4 is being universally praised, I ended up thinking a lot about my favorite games of all time. I’m going to use this thread to list my favorite games, un-ordered:
– Day of the Tentacle – The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion – World of Warcraft (don’t play anymore) – Portal – Resident Evil 4 – God of War 2 – Half Life 2/E1/E2 – Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time – Jones in the Fast Lane – Super Mario Galaxy

Oh god I have way too many. But a few off the top of my head:

Nothing in the OP restricting to computer games
-Peek-a-boo (when I was a baby) -Red Light Green Light 1-2-3 (when I was a little kid) -Dodgeball (no, srsly!) -Chess -Adventure (Atari system) -Space Ace (arcade version) -Zork (and really, all Infocom text adventures) -the Mario series -the Zelda series -the Banjo-Kazooie series -the Final Fantasy series (until it went shared, haven’t played it since then) -Chrono Trigger -Settlers of Cataan

Other than Forumwarz I actually don’t play many games, although I used to invest most of my life into them.

I’m painfully old school and/or lame.
SNES: Super Mario Brothers (not terribly fond of #2) & Donkey Kong Country
PC: I can play various Sims crap for days on end.
DS: Don’t have many games for it yet, but I like Brain Age & Brain Age 2. |

Portal Bioshock Osu! Tatakae! Oendan! Darwinia Civilization (only played the first one) Dune II Legend of Zelda

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Most fun I have ever had playing a game ever. Master of Monsters for Sega: Highly addictive strategy game. Zombies Ate my Neighbors: LULZ Hogs of War: Also lulz Mortal Kombat 3: Who didn’t have fun playing this?

Most of the Tetris clones I’ve played are broken and impossible to beat after a certain amount of levels pbum. The first ten levels or so are too easy, then it becomes challenging, and then it becomes impossible. It’s an alright game, but it’s not one of my favorites. And from your tone, I’d be surprised if you’ve even played anything on my list, so I cannot take you seriously either. |
