Back when I smoked tobacco, I smoked Camel Lights. Before that was Turkish Jade Lights, but I found I couldn’t handle menthol sober. Before that was Marlboro Lights/Ultra Lights for a few years, and before that was Marlboro Reds for about a decade. I tried several other brands and found Lucky Strike Filters to have the best flavor.
Now I just stick to organic ganja.

Log in to see images! Back when I smoked, this was pretty much my standard day to day brand, and I usually bought about a carton a week. I only smoked about 1/2 pack a day, and I tended to ‘loan’ a lot of cigs out, but at the time, 10-pack cartons were about $12-15 in the PX, and I had a lot of disposable income, so no big deal.
Whenever I got out to a real tobacco shop, I’d just pick out something I hadn’t smoked before, just for variety.
I quit about 6 years ago, and I only occasionally have a craving. But the trade offs a lot better. |

The other part of how I got started. Everyone smoked in Germany. It gave me a good excuse to chat up girls by offering cigarettes and/or lights. Then I moved back, and all the hot exchange students smoked, too. I was stuck. |

i came into this thread thinking it was about smoking weed… honestly weed is like 20x more cost effective and it is slightly less bad for you than cigs plus it has a better effect |

I must admit, I wish I was better at rolling. Cheaper, and more interesting blends… but I can’t roll a tube to save my life, and it takes way too much time and effort. I end up pre-rolling these nasty bulgy joint-looking things in bulk to drop in my last Marlboro pack for travel. I’d love to just carry a pouch and rissers, but I’d look like a mbumive tool trying to roll up in public. |

Turns out Camel Filters are the same price as Turkish Royals, so I now smoke Turkish Royals again. They’re smooth and that’s the way I like them. Just like my whiskey. Plus the all-around design is more spiffy.
