Back when I smoked, this was pretty much my standard day to day brand, and I usually bought about a carton a week. I only smoked about 1/2 pack a day, and I tended to ‘loan’ a lot of cigs out, but at the time, 10-pack cartons were about $12-15 in the PX, and I had a lot of disposable income, so no big deal.

Whenever I got out to a real tobacco shop, I’d just pick out something I hadn’t smoked before, just for variety.

I quit about 6 years ago, and I only occasionally have a craving. But the trade offs a lot better.

The other part of how I got started. Everyone smoked in Germany. It gave me a good excuse to chat up girls by offering cigarettes and/or lights. Then I moved back, and all the hot exchange students smoked, too. I was stuck.
