Don’t post them in sticky threads.

I mean in general, in any thread. I don’t see any reason why I should have to adblock individual tinyurl links, or tinyurl at the domain level, just because people are trying to get around adblock.

It’s just a very mild form of spam/trolling. They’re very small, non-obtrusive, non-offensive images. Why should it not be allowed in RP?

I think the idea is just that “Sticky threads in RP forums are a tiny island of ‘there are actually rules here’” and so spamming/trolling the sticky threads is frowned upon.

I would be happier if the rule was just “spamming images in a sticky thread, even in an RP forum is a bannable offense”, but I imagine that will happen if people start spamming gay porn or whatnot in the stickies.

Alternatively, if the sticky threads were just moderated like Non-RP that wouldn’t be a bad thing. The point of the sticky threads is that people should actually read them.

All the first 2 posts do is severely slow down the forum, by posting line after line of an image, whereas the dragons are just advertising for another game. True that dragons have been needlessly spammed, but are they really worse?

Just my opinion, also, I bumume dragons are still allowed in sigs?

Actually, the rules stickies were just a bonus. In those threads all the pertinent information is in the OPs. It’s the non-rules stickies which were suffering.

As to the question “Why dragons and not page-breaking stuff?” Honestly, because of the overuse. If the stickies were being slammed with any other particular type of trolling, those too would come up for discussion about removal in those locations.

We used to have a rule about repeated images, but it was removed. I’d hate to have to bring it back.
