I’d recently bought/equipped a few things which should have increased my Offense a few points, but to my dismay, they didn’t. And in fact, when I re-equipped my previous items, my stats LOWERED.

So I went and unequipped all of my items. Even the spider.

My upgrades are as follows.
Egomania Level 10
Offense Level 45
Defense Level 1
Luck O’ The Filthy fine upstanding member of society Level 1
****ing on Firewalls Level 4
Vandalism Haxx Level 9

Meaning my stats, without equipment, should be:
Ego 875
Proc 10
Offense 46
Defense 2
Luck 10
Frigality 1
Charisma 1
Upkeep 1

However, they’re at this:
Ego 870
Proc 10
Offense 31
Defense -13
Luck 0
Frugality 1
Charisma 1
Upkeep 1


I have somehow lost 15 Offense and Defense and 10 Luck. Oddly the same stats as a Beast0rs. I can’t have Haxl reset my stats for a few more days, is there something else I could try to fix this?

Tried that already, didn’t do anything. I’ve also tried switching back and forth between Alts.

Bleh. At least I wasn’t doing anything on this Alt except try to finish Pink Floyd’s file.

I’ve bumped it up in ET’s queue, so hopefully when he’s feeling up to it he’ll get you straightened out.

Thanks for reporting your equip; we’re trying to duplicate the problem to track it down but no luck so far. The extra info is always useful.

See the lowering when re-equiped is why i think it’s the server getting horribly confused.

I think it has to do with equipping something while something else is still equipped. It unequips the old one, then either unequips it again or simply doesn’t equip the new one, but flags it that it is equipped.

when you go to equip something else, it unequips the current item. But you don’t have the stat boost from it since it isn’t actually equipped, so it subtracts the item’s stats anyway.

That’s probably not helpful to anyone at all but I’m now even more certain that that’s the order of events that leads up to negative stats.

I would love to reproduce this bug so we could fix it once and for all. Unfortunately it’s very hard to reproduce, which leads me to believe it involves some kind of concurrency.

As others have said, I can fix it easily with a tool I have, and I have Log in to see images!
