This also applies to people who have had all their accounts banned. There have been people who have been annoying and been banned repeatedly, but keep popping up with new accounts. Since they are not actively playing multiple accounts (their previous ones have been banned and therefore receive no activity), we usually let them start fresh, but on thin ice.

You can consider this a second chance — let’s say you came to Flamebate and posted Goatse in general discussion. You’d be banned right away. But if you came back with a new account and played by the rules, we’ll let you stay. The thin ice part means that if you break ANY rules, we’ll permaban you for it.

The idea is that hopefully people will get sick of being banned repeatedly and will want to join in the community properly. If they stick to the rules, we let them do so.

Bear in mind that there is now a Level 4 Minimum required to post on Flamebate. We’re hoping that requiring players to advance in the game for a short while will weed out those who come back over and over repeatedly to annoy other players.

Notwithstanding the other illegal alts you made, right?

A permaban means admins don’t want you back. If they thought you could handle being a productive member of this community they would have given you a temp ban. But they didn’t.

Also remember that <1% of us are mods. Send an email to evil trout or banhammer, don’t tell us. Because we have no sympathy.

They are allowed to come back, yes. But it’s how I told you on IDC: everyone will watch you much closely now. Any mistake you’ll do you’ll be reported again. Because, after all, you were supposed to be out of here.

Permabans = We don’t want you here.

Change Policy. Ban wild_****22 & iRAWR and ALL alts.

The key issue here, which you’re missing, is I told you during the ban that you should contact ET to explain your case. It is up to him, not you, if you return.

Use the contact form on the ban page and wait for an answer. Until then, you are only hurting your case.

he’s been harangued seriously in the past few days, and pretty much the whole site was/is against the guy,

i think he sorta snapped there with the ‘hellban’ and then spammed the gd..

-so its good you dont truly permaban the kid, he didnt have much chance vs the rest of the community with the conspiracy there

i gotta say that was funny tho, we snapped the poor guy lol

The work that you did required either hours of my time to clean up, or, and this is what did happen, me pulling ET away from working on Episode 2 to handle it on the DB back-end. It’s no secret that he’s working on it, and having to deal with **** like what you did takes away from that and hurts the community at large. That kind of thing is taken into account when determining the length of time of a temp ban, and the decision regarding a permaban.

And before you ask, my telling you to ask him meant that he could handle it on his own time. Not when he might have been in the middle of a heavy thinking spree on how to handle something, which I had to interrupt, but when he was ready to take a break. That’s the difference between “use the form” and “Hey, ET, I need you fix something NOW.”

Making all these alts, instead of having the decency to at LEAST wait until a temp ban would’ve expired, which would’ve been, based on your past history, probably until Tuesday, only, as I said above, hurts your case.

Take the break, lurk if you want, but stop creating new alts. And wait for ET to decide what to do, when it’s convenient for him.
