New Item in BuildrFran Posted:
Right here. Hooray!
If we keep this up though, Trolls could use some more items, but there’s a lot of douchebaggery books so far. (view post) |

It would be interesting to see Trout track the total amount of flezz in the economy, week by week. I wonder how many millions worth of flezz are created every week. (view post) |

I do support anybody else who wants to be considered for the position of “official forumwarz cat” to sponsor their own kitty emoticon. It is not possible to have too many kitty emoticons. (view post) |

I think you’re right, and also the fact that “I’m better at foo than almost everyone!” is more peenworthy than “I’ve done a lot of foo.” It’s more in keeping with the original idea that peens were for topping the leaderboard, with the acknowledgement of things like “nobody’s ever going to get on top of the “most forums pwned” leaderboard unless everybody ahead of them gets hit by a bus.
Ideally, peens should not only be desirable and meaningful, but reasonably acquirable. (view post) |

What happens to the .moar files in itembuildr? As I understand it, itembuildr won’t be creating any more .moars, and .moar files never appear in NPC shops (except that one time in the co-op). It’s possible that the lone itembuildr .moar will be added as a drop to a new forum for ep. 3 (when presumably new .moars will be added to the game), but for now the only way to get the “two fine ladies” file is kyoubai. Who here will admit to actually liking Forumwarz?I totally agree with the bumertion that “more things like the Falcon****er quest” are something that the game desperately needs. When you’re done with the main plot, there just aren’t enough external influences to motivate you to do things. All of the endgame content is self-driven, things like “I want to acquire medals”, “I want more peen”, or “I want this item/lots of flezz.” It would be nice to have a bunch of things that are just “this NPC tells you to do something, you can get a reward for it.”.
How long does something like the Falcon****er quest take to create anyway? It seems like all you’d need is two STalk conversations, a task (ideally one that can’t be done in one or two days, a week or two is a good length), and some sort of unique reward. I can’t imagine that requiring a huge amount of development, but I could be wrong. (view post) |

WHAT THE MOTHER ****??The “abuse flagger” is fully automated and coded in such a way that it will almost always flag an auction for abuse until a few of them have sold on Kyoubai. I don’t know why it’s coded that way, but it is. (view post) |

Petition to remove Special Items from itembuildrI think that special items really ought to be, well, special, and shouldn’t pop up in itembuildr nearly as often as they do currently.
The odds of spawning a special item should be less than the odds of spawning glbumes, a piercing, lingerie, a tattoo, a fetish, a book, or a piece of hardware IMO. We’re getting way too many special items, and nobody is going to use any of them so long as dragon and master balls are relatively easy to come by.
IMO itembuildr “special items” should show up ~1-2 times a month, disappear from the co-op after a couple of weeks, and not appear in the ppwn rotation. That would make them significantly more special (view post) |

every workplace safety video should be like this (possible NSFW and yes i know that's ironic puntastic **** you)The funny thing is that when the guy gets the nail in his eye, he drops not into the “Jesus Christ, I have a nail in my eye, GETITOUTGETITOUTGETITOUT!” pose, but into the “Oh god the humanity!” existential angst pose.
The correct way to avoid all of these danger is, of course, unemployment. (view post) |

Well, we can either encourage him to **** up more, or we can basically create a framework for this. I would suggest the following:
Currently ET thinks that there aren’t enough pieces of equipment in the clbum stores, so for now let itembuildr help fill out each store until ET determines that store has enough items.
When a store is “full” only add an item from the itembuildr co-op to that store if it replaces a current item of the same type in that store. Let ET and/or a group of trusted advisors make the call whether the new item should replace the old item, and only replace item A with item B if they’re of comparable power levels and prices. This is also a good place to cull the many, many violations of itembuildr’s “no copyrighted images” that we see run rampant, as those items should be dismissed immediately.
Otherwise, leave items in the co-op for, say, a month while the decision of “what should it replace, if anything” is made, and for items that don’t have an bumociated NPC store (e.g. special items), they just disappear into the aether after a month.
I think this would result in a reasonably active and interesting economy. It’s a start at least. (view post) |

MasterBall-gatemeeeeeeeeee Posted:
Well… some investments are going to work out and some aren’t. Suppose the next big “invest in me item” comes out and Acid Flux, flush with success over the master balls, buys in really heavy. Then, a week later another big “stock up on me, I’m going to be worth millions” flezz item shows up, and most of Flux’s flezz is tied up in investments, so he can’t buy nearly as many, but somebody who didn’t buy so heavy into that first item can get an edge on Flux by buying more of the second item. Particularly, if the second item is strictly preferable to the first (dragon balls took a hit as an investment after the master ball showed up, after all), Flux and anybody who bought in heavily to item A could take a bath.
Honestly, the way to both make the economy work and to make the flezz peen actually acquirable by people is to fill the market with a lot of things that people want to have, but are limited in quantity in some sense. A smart investor might do reliably well with a diversified portfolio, but a ballsy investor might do even better by investing in one thing to the exclusion of anything else. Sometimes smarts will beat balls, sometimes balls will beat smarts. But if there’s some way to get rich that’s not “grind”, the game vastly improves for it. (view post) |
