Problem: I cannot see any of "My Bids"More weirdness:

But Bidsquid didn’t give me back the difference between my max bid and the winning bid.

Is it possible that my proxy bid was somehow the exact winning amount? Dunno, it doesn’t appear on my bid list! Neither does the one I lost right before I won Flashing Red and Green Lights.

Problem: I cannot see any of "My Bids"I currently have 50 auctions on my “My Bids” page. The problem is, they are all over, and counting the ones that have ended and are on that page, I have bids on other auctions. Now, BidSquid periodically is sending me messages like “You have been outbid, here’s your flezz back” (in his charming engrish), the problem is that since I cannot see any of the auctions I have bid on but have not ended yet, and BidSquid doesn’t tell me which auction I got outbid on, I have no way of knowing who just outbid me for what. Is there a way we can fix this? Can we paginate “my bids” or have ones that are over drop off immediately if there are auctions that would not display? If we’re going to not display anything, we should probably fail to display the ones that are actually over. (view post) |

Ripros pretty regularly go in the 300k range, even if you don’t bother to advertise them. I think a lot of people only really pay attention to the files that are ending fairly soon.
Really, two things affect auction price: Utility and Rarity. Ripro is one of the very best files in the game, but is very very common for a file that good, so it costs less than it otherwise would. (view post) |

Realistically, if emos and camwhores really would prefer to give up offense, defense, and luck for tears and sexiness? They’re bad players. Secondary stats are more than plentiful enough if your offense and defense are high enough. Giving up 2 points of offense for 100 tears or something just isn’t a good idea. Remember, offense is more important than anything. If you have enough offense, you don’t have to attack as much which means you take less damage (you need less ego) and you have to use fewer special attacks (you use less secondary stat.) Plus, ripro and ****.milf are far and away the best video files for rollover as well as pwning, so it means you have to do less inventory fiddling.
It’s not even my file. You just come on here and say something patently ridiculous (“Ripro isn’t very good” ) and I feel some sort of duty to inform people.

When pwning forums, the stats that matter are: Upkeep, Offense, Defense, and Luck. No files give upkeep. Among Video files 4 give +7 offense: black man puts balls, Incredible Hulk, Ripro, and ****.milf. So since Ripro and ****.milf are the only video files that give the maximum bonus to the stats you want at rollover, they’re far and away the best video files for rollover. There’s no reason to use anything else if you can afford ripro or ****.milf.
So since Ripro has the best stats of any video file for pwning and rollover, I don’t see how you can possibly claim that there are better files. How many files give +7 to four or more things, including luck, offense, defense, and charisma? (I’ll answer, five: Incit Photos, Leave Britney Alone, Unknown Artist – Unknown Album, Ripro, and ****.milf. Two of those are audio files, so most people would prefer pink floyd.) (view post) |

kyoubai issues, put em here or listen to mine hehWould it be possible to paginate “my bids” or “my auctions” or at least remove the “over” ones quicker? I’ve been bidding on a lot of auctions these days, and it’s to the point that I have only the bottom two auctions on the “my bids” page as something other than Over. I got a message from BidSquid saying “you got outbid on something” but I have no way of knowing what that is.

Keep in mind though, that the rarity of files is largely just a function of “where they’re found” and we’re adding new forums all the time. Even the bad files could easily find their way into future high level forums, because there’s no shortage of less desirable files in some of the current forum.
If iliketurtles.pron shows up as a file that the right amount of luck really helps on for a level 35 forum, it will suddenly become significantly less than half as rare. (view post) |

Abuse questionI was trying to sell the .moar file “top 10 movie hacks”. I put it in kyoubai 24 hours ago, this morning there were no bids at all, and just about an hour ago I got a tubmail:
“Your auction was flagged as abusive. Your item has been confiscated and the auction is now closed.”
I clearly wasn’t abusing the system, I was just trying to sell a file I had. Is there anything I can do to get it back? I don’t know how to find a link for the auctions, since I mostly just list files and hope somebody buys them.
Is there anything I can do? If I can’t get my file back, or get any flezz for it, can I at least know what I can do to avoid this happening in the future other than “not selling stuff on Kyoubai”? (view post) |
