Very Rare Files, Abuse, and Evil Trout to the rescue.

It is for a scandalously rare file, that at least three people were willing to part with millions of flezz for. I don’t believe anything in this auction was abusive, I just wanted that file and I was willing to pay what it took to get it.

Now, the suggested procedure for this is “submit a bug report”, and ET will fix it. But I’ve done this a couple of times: Once, when I was the seller I got my flezz from the auction closed for abuse, and once when I was the buyer guilty of “Bidding too much” I didn’t get any response at all (it’s been over a week.) The one time I did get a response, I made a thread about it here and Banhammer said he would bump it along up to the top. The other time, I made no thread and nothing ever came of the report.

Is there a better way to ensure that these “erroneously closed for abuse” auctions, than complaining about them on the forums in order that a moderator reads the read, and agrees to forward your bug report to ET? If there’s not, consider this “that thread that says: “Dear Moderator, I really want my Tom Cruise file and I’m more than willing to pay 2.8m flezz or whatever the winning bid ended up being.”

Alternatively, can we just make the abuse filter a little less draconic? I’m often afraid to bid what I’m willing to pay for certain files that are rarely on kyoubai, for fear of having my flezz confiscated and getting nothing back.

I don’t believe the abuse filter is working correctly. This isn’t people bidding tons and tons of flezz for a birdhouse or a marble, this is people bidding for a file that they have no way of obtaining for themselves short of kyoubai, and there are very few of them in the wild.

tl;dr: I am partially blinded with rage, I would like my Tom Cruise file.

I too, would like to express my disapproval of Roid Rage. I wasn’t even playing Dom this week (never even looked at the bracket I was in), but I still got hit with EIGHT bumHOLES.

It would be keen if the next theme week doesn’t spam the character pages of people who aren’t really participating with popup after popup.

At least Sweaty Handbook’s lead is somewhat small at this point. I think lesser-known stereotypes would be much more fun, and something we haven’t done a lot of before.

My inventory is 34 pages long

I’ve been engaging in a “something to do” project of trying to collect all the .moar files. Currently, I have about half. Many of these files, I will never want to equip, but I want to have them because I’m enjoying collecting them. The sheer volume of my inventory makes “managing inventory” frankly nightmarish, and I try to avoid the page unless I absolutely have to.

Is there some way we can do one or more of:

1) Make inventory sections (e.g. “Audio files” ) collapsable, or accessible via different tabs?

2) Make a “Storage” area for items that we just want to have to collect, not necessarily to equip.

3) Make some sort of way to save “outfits” so I can navigate the horror that is my inventory just once for each special purpose I want a set of items for (e.g. “Rollover”, “Buying”, “High Luck Pwning”, “Low Luck Pwning”, etc.)

4) Give a player option to hide the bonuses granted by a piece of information under the “More information link” or do this by default for .moar files in lieu of the always informative “this is a media file retrieved from the internet.”

If I’m at 34 clicks on the “page down” bumon to get to the bottom of my inventory with only roughly half of the .moars, this is going to get much worse before it gets better, unless some kindly admin comes along and says “yes, we’re hoping to roll out a fun, exciting new inventory soon!”, which is what I’m hoping for.

EDIT: I hate the ” followed by a ) becoming a winking emoticon so much I am LITERALLY BLINDED WITH RAGE.

That is odd, you should easily be able to speed almost anything except the forums that have big health. My hackers can one shot a majority of the forums. Are you using the bg attacks? Stop using them, they ruin your life unless you adblock all the images.

Well, to be honest, all I ever do these days is 5 JP jobs, and those aren’t available on anything I can one-shot (thankfully high luck means I almost always get 4 untimed ones). I could probably speed run everything I can one-shot.

At Level 35, when would a Hacker ever use the bg attacks? They do awful damage; you can get your attack loop to do more damage on every hit than either of the bg attacks would.

But if you’re speedrunning something low level that you can one shot everything easily, you’d probably want to alternate avtr and bg2 or something.
