Log in to see images!* The aim of these changes is to balance Domination for all players. Noobs, klannies, solo players.. These changes have been posted and discussed for a long time to avoid shock. There are discussion threads which you should contribute to if you have further comments. Any balance issues will be addressed, so post comments. 	THIS WEEK: Domination Changes <START TRANSMISSION> UPDATE: Starting this weeks round of Domination (Wednesday, Feb 4) we’re changing the following: – Adding a countdown on the Raid page that will indicate when you are eligible to Raid again – Changing the daily raid limit from 24 hours to 60 hours such that you will only be able to join a raid once every 60 hours (If you join a raid by mistake TS for now, so be careful) – Remove the time limit for joining a raid, you can join at any time – If you are booted from a raid (by an Officer) your spot will remain taken (Only 13 people EVER should be able to join a particular Raid) – Change the Klan Domination page to display how many forums (and which forums) your raid currently pwns – bumhole Cards now remove 10 scoops – Klan Domination page is no longer Klan only. You can get to it from the Domination page in the footer navigation under “Vanilla Helper” – Alts are still not allowed in a Raid. This is not a change, but apparently needs to be explicitly stated. Please refer to the enhancements thread for upcoming changes which are up for discussion. Starting last weeks round of Domination (Wednesday, Jan 28) the following changes were made: – Raid size will be limited to 13 – Each character can only join 1 raid ~~per day~~ every 60 hours – ~~Characters can only join a raid in the first 15 minutes of its creation~~ – Raid admins can end the raid at any time – Disabled alts cannot “push” forums or join raids – If you are not in the raid, you don’t contribute to the count – If you have more then 5 characters, you must choose which 5 will participate in Domination (or the first 5 characters to earn scoops are automatically chosen) As per usual please remember build first, balance next. 	New Theme Discussion TheShadow Posted: Don’t have a name for it yet, but I’m thinking of a theme that puts the player in first(in terms of total scoops) at a disadvantage. During rollovers, the person in second gets an bumhole card, and the person in first can’t use shields or peeping toms. I think I’m more open to the idea of the leader losing X scoops at rollover.. or something like that. Each clbum then has one additional goal for a fourth medal – there was some discussion of clbum-specific medals in the new medals thread from awhile back, and most of these ideas com For example – and this is the part I haven’t thought out very well: Troll brackets could have a medal for using the most cards on other players; Camwhore for using the most cards on themselves; Emo kids for having the most cards played against them; Permanoobs (and Re-res) might have a medal for the lowest unique total; Hackers … I haven’t figured out yet. 	New Theme Discussion Armageddon: All players start with 500 scoops (100 of each flavour) and 5 random cards. The ability to gain scoops will be minimized to one scoop per event (Speed pwning, board dominating, everything will only give you one scoop each). Only take part if you’re into masochism. I like the idea of starting with X scoops of each type.. Piñata: Attacking the leader will give each user a free scoop. Not a bad idea either. Vampire: Attacking other players gives you the scoops they lose. This is too powerful IMO Provocative Redistribution of Weatlh: Thief cards will steal 3 scoops instead of 1 Again might be too powerful. Weapons of bum Destruction: Double Damage This could be interesting for a week. I like it. Dud Cards: Some of the cards played will do nothing Too hard to program me thinks. Economic Bail-out: During the nightly rollover, you will receive 30 scoops for free. I like the idea of King of the Hill better, but this could work, yes. Leaders Will Die: During the nightly rollover, the player in the lead will be removed from the round except for the last day. Wow, harsh, maybe the leader would lose 100 scoops or something instead of being removed outright.. but yeah, I like this idea. 	New Card Discussion -XI- Posted: Grenade: Destroys 2 random scoops from a selected player which cannot be deflected by a shield Not a huge fan of this. -XI- Posted: Ball-Gag: Disables the player’s ability to play cards for a limited amount of time regardless of any shields (will not affect sheilds). The card will expire either by waiting it out or until they play the… This idea is very similar to the “male reproductive organshot” idea we had before. I got rid of it for some exploitable reason that I can’t think of right now. But the basic premise was, use the card, choose a character, the next card that character uses has no effect. -XI- Posted: Megaphone: Nulls the effects of a Ball-Gag, allowing you to use your cards again. 	Domination Enhancements Thread Amasius Posted: Well, I once had 6 alts in one of the highest brackets, (but never more than one in the top bracket ) and someone else has 5 alts in the same bracket this week, so the algorithm can’t be that great. If on the night the round ends there’s more than one player with 100, the medals goes to the first person who got 150. Possible to change to another amount This is very similar to one of the proposed goals (that would yield a medal). End on a target number of scoops. 	New Theme Discussion TimeForAndrogyny Posted: I have an idea: Casino Night Zone- Unlimited antifreeze scoops I know they capped antifreeze for a reason but having this as a theme would be a GREAT flezz sink. Hell I got the idea by losing about $120,000 just now trying to get the alloted 10 scoops! It would only be for a week anyways. We’re looking at ways of removing the cap and replacing with another system. The cap was put in place because certain people (not naming names) would spend all day playing and come out with hundreds of scoops. I’d like to avoid that if possible Log in to see images!
