Anyways, that man with all the cigarettes said just before I pbumed out something about “to the island”, so what was I supposed to think?

If this… Monkatrice is real — and that’s a big if — shouldn’t we be… I don’t know… trying to contain it and keep it under wraps or something? Seriously, whatever is going on, it can’t be good for our organization. Or anyone else. Not that they matter. But we do!

Well, I’ve gone back through the records, and he seems to have uttered a number of threats against community members… references to killing people and pets and to… eating people. I believe that both you and Ms. Trent were threatened thus.

Also, he has been predicting “downpours of evil” and the end of the world.

Perhaps more discomforting is his constantuse of bold caps yelling.

And then, possibly worst of all, is his incontinence/poo-flinging problem.

Now, I don’t believe in god, demons, or the end of the world. Religious experiences can be explained in terms of neurochemical and phytochemical processes in the brain, and religion as an attempt to explain these experiences, but such consistent sociopathic behavour… it’s often a harbinger of random, senseless violence.

If we had him in our facility… well, I could do some tests and maybe find a treatment for his illness. Or at least I’d have a subject for my, erm, pharmacological research.

P.S. My eyes are hazel. Why do you ask?

Uh… yeah. But that’s targeted and motivated… sort of. The Monkatrice… well, he’s constantly threatening everyone. And he seems dangerously convinced of his ability to carry out those threats.

Hey… I like these guys. And, um… I had to leave college kind of, um, quickly. The authorities had heard rumours about my… business endeavours. And if I got kicked out, my parents were going to send me to Canada to live with my grandparents. **** that ****!

The organization has been very… helpful to me. They’ve given me space for a lab, a garden, and a greenhouse, and provided me with cover. I believe that the relationship offers mutual benefits. I’ll stick around here as long as it does.

Oh, and there’s gonna come a day when you’ll have to come to terms with the Monkatrice, but that’s up to you in your own time. You can’t kill him. You won’t be able to.

Well I would say no, but I do owe you, and I don’t see how I can stop you anyway.

You always seem to poke your nose into places it doesn’t belong in a way that makes me think that someday you could grow up to become an outstanding special agent.

As far as that creature goes, he’s no relation of mine, and don’t underestimate me and my crew here, we’ve killed bigger badder things when we had to.
