Bamp scouts around, finding mostly ex-humans and little resistance. Hwoever, he comes across something interesting: a pack of 3 rockets. He wonders if it’s worth stockpiling these in case he comes across a rocket launcher, or if he’d be jeopardizing the present to worry about the future…

Equip your pistol as your subweapon and grab the ammo. |

With the ammo drops thus far I don’t think we need a malee. |

(A valid point)
Alrighty, Bamp ditches his saw and grabs the rockets. Checking around the area, he finds another pack of rockets, and little else of value. Moving towards the left side of the floor, he runs into a few more weak enemies, which he decorates with bullet holes. A former human drops a firing speed mod.
Realising that he hasn’t the skill to mod his chaingun again, he debates whether he should soup up his pistol, store it for later use (which will require him to ditch ANOTHER item), or grab another chaingun off the floor, mod it, and ditch his old one (with magazine mod).

Bamp pulls apart his pistol and rewires the circuits. Essaying a few shots, he is pleased at the improvement. Pressing on, he encounters more ex-humans and imps. He’s not so lucky this time around though, suffering a few fireballs and bullets, leaving him in a pretty bad state. However, the floor is soon clear, leaving him to lick his wounds.

Looking around, he has several options to patch himself up. He has:
2 small medpacks, 1 large
From what he’s explored so far, he’s seen on the floor:
1 small medpack
2 or 3 Small Health Globes |

Since your inventory is full use a small medpack first then get the globes. |

(We already have the large pack, did you mean the small one on the floor?)
Crinkz Posted:
(You both mentioned using the Globes, but using the small pack is an added thing, so I’ll do that too)
Bleeding from several wounds and blisters forming from burns, Bamp uses a small medpack, healing some of his injuries. He grabs the closest globe and replaces his now-useless pack with a fresh one off the floor. As he circles around the unexplored area, he spots something else intriguing.

(We can’t take it with us unfortunately, so we’ll just grab it, seeing as it heals to 100% life)
Grabbing the strange white globe, Bamp is amazed as not only the rest of his injuries fade away in an instant, but he feels untouchable, like nothing could possibly hurt him!

He strides over to the remaining health globe feeling like a god, thinking that at last he has an undeniable edge over the forces of hell…then it wears off. Disappointed, Bamp realizes the effects are only temporary. Oh well, at least he has his health. He wonders where to go now, the next floor, or The Wall.

Curious as to what secrets The Wall holds, Bamp descends the bloodstained staircase. He finds himself in a wide-open and featureless area, seemingly deserted. He has a vague sense of unease.

Slowly traveling west, he comes across a monolithic stone wall, caked in blood. This thing must be METERS thick. He sees no doors, no way to get through. Confused, he calls out, directing his voice at a large gap between the wall and the ceiling. He is greeted by a cacophony of inhuman roars that chill him to the bone. There are things on the other side. Lots of things. Lots of powerful things. Bamp shudders. What the heck does he do now?

Interesting. Do you have anything that can blow up the wall? Will shooting it with your chaingun do anything, or will it be a waste of bullet? |

Nope. You’d need a rocket launcher or something with explosive shots. Which we don’t have. Log in to see images!

The latter.

You proably need the rocket launcher (Hence the ammo before the wall, maybe that’s why it’s called that) Maybe use the regular staircase find a rocket launcher and come back? |

(There’s no coming back, once we go down you can’t go up. Sometimes you can find a rocket launcher before the Wall (and you’re GUARANTEED to find one if you beat Hell’s Arena early on), sometimes you don’t. Honestly, there’s not much we can do but leave this time. Shame really, since the critters guard an item that would’ve been VERY helpful on this particular challenge)
Scratching his head and not knowing what else to do, Bamp leaves the wall and its angry beasts behind, descending to floor 8. He finds himself in a small room with 3 doors and a Large Health Globe (which might be good to leave until later, just a suggestion Log in to see images!)

Take the side door. |

(Some of them, yes. The Mortuary and the Unholy Cathedral, for instance, are very very good if you desire a quick, gory death. Some, like the Chained Court and the Halls of Carnage are worth doing every time)

Leaving the globe for later, Bamp enters the side room. All around him, he can hear the low moans of ex-humans, the sound of a shotgun reloading, and some lost souls. They sound very close by. Looking around him, Bamp realizes he may soon be in a precarious position…
