Use some meds and get some ammo

(oh god BoP what’re you doing Log in to see images!. Oh well, this may be a TL;DR post then)

Mithra has a flashback. A flashback to 5 years ago. He remembers the grim look on the messenger’s face, the tears in his mother’s eyes. Her shock and disbelief were easy to see.

“Tell me…how did he die? How was my son taken from me?”

”.....Levers. Levers killed your son madam, and I am truly sorry for your loss. He was a great marine, one of the best.”

Mithra’s rage bubbles over, the world takes on a red haze. He roars his fury, then charges at the nearest lever, screaming “DIXON MY BROTHER, I WILL AVENGE YOUUUUUUU!!!!!”

He grabs the closest lever, and pulls it so hard he rips it clean out of its socket. He is immediately greeted by a collection of confused moans and growls.

Yelling his defiance, Mithra hurls the broken lever into the former sergeant’s eye, then guns down his foes before they can even react. An imp steps out of the darkness and burns him with a fireball, but it is of little use against the enraged marine. On a combat high, Mithra rushes the next lever, prepared for any dangers it may present. His armor is repaired. A little non-plussed, he charges the next one. It heals his injuries, leaving his body renewed and invigorated. Mithra pulls the other two levers, which remove all the walls on the floor, and do nothing respectively. Panting, Mithra lets out a victorious battle yell, and cries out:

“BROTHER, I HAVE AVENGED YOU, YOUR BRAVE DEATH WAS NOT IN VAAAAAAIN!”

His bold proclamation is met with silence. Somewhere, a solitary cricket chirps. Feeling a tad sheepish, Mithra returns to the staircases and deliberates which one to descend…..

Feeling confident, Mithra strides down the stairs. He wonders exactly what a demonic gladiator fight would entail. As he reach the bottom, the stairs suddenly disappear, and a demonic voice booms out, to the cheering of a large unseen crowd.

Mithra gulps despite himself. Readying his chaingun, he meets the charge of 2 demons and a lost soul, not giving them the chance to get close. Hearing a strange and menacing hiss, Mithra cautiously edges left, towards the source. He sees the source of the noise. He whimpers.

oh, and if you kill all the monsters, YES, you do want to continue

It’s not a bad idea, but if you’re unsure you should ask what they do, this decision’s probably gonna be a crucial one. (Hint: we need to able able to deal good damage, otherwise we’re gonna get raped in round 2 or 3)

Also, I like to think my storytelling makes the game a little more interesting, I get a kick out of writing it Log in to see images!

Feeling that he knows how better to unload lead quickly into his foes, Mithra suddenly hears the demonic voice boom again:

Mithra easily guns down the nearby demons, but hears hissing nearby. His attempts to sneak up on the cacodemon fail as it blasts him with scorching plasma. Defeating the beast but feeling pretty worse for wear, Mithra staggers over to the left. A staircase! He feels that he shouldn’t be cowardly, but he’s out of both ammo AND medkits…..

Mithra’s temper rises once again. If these bastards want entertainment, he’ll give them a show they’ll NEVER forget. He marches to the right, chaingun ready to kill anything that moves. A cacodemon rears its ugly head (get it, it’s like, a disembodied head? Man I slay me). Mithra unloads some shots into it, chaingun roaring his anger. Unimpressed, the creature lazily opens its mouth, and a giant ball of plasma careens directly into the marine’s chest, obliterating him instantly.

The last thing Mithra ever hears is the cheering of the crowd, and a chuckling demonic annoucer…..
