Yeah, I agree. 10 E-Peen for hundreds of domination players is a bit meager, that might discourage some in the next season.

Well, I think this system encourages a hand full of “hardcore” Forumwarzies who are in a competitive klan and it discourages the big majority of the more casual players or even people who just don’t have always time when a dom round ends. Is that really your intention? Domination is an important aspect to keep folks interested in Forumwarz once they’ve beaten Episode 1, and why should they bother when after a few months all their hard-fought trophies are lost and they don’t even get an E-Peen to remember the good times? You are often very generous with E-Peens, maybe to much, but why so stingy now? You can get 8 E-Peens now just for pwning 32 different forums in a row. That’s done in 8 days but after three months of Domination you get… probably nothing? Cheapskates. Log in to see images!

I’d suggest additional unique E-Peens for the top spots and some graded generic E-Peens for all who got at least some medals like jpsteel suggested.

I also approve of the idea of handing out E-Peen for each 4 medals a player has received. That way, a domination round can always make a difference, because you can win 4 medals in one if you’re lucky. If you just hand out E-Peen to the top 10 winners or whatever, a player with 0 medals at the beginning of the last round is fundamentally screwed and there’s no point for him to participate.

People who win this round still get the medal winner E-Peen. And calling domination pointless just because not every won round gives you another E-Peen seems a bit over the top, tons of people have competed for months now when there were only two E-Peen at stake.

Yeah, but that was before they knew the season was ending. Shucks, before you didn’t really need any extra e-Peen at all- you had medals, you could show THEM off. But now those medals are resetting, and all most people are getting is… nothing.

And next season? Why bother? We know most of us don’t have the ability to reach the very top. I only competed to show off the medals themselves. If it’s all or nothing to get an e-Peen and the medals themselves are temporary, what’s the reason for people like me to play domination?

Okay, here’s what was done:

– Total medals will always be remembered, regardless of season. That’s what’s shown beside your character for bragging rights.

– 1st, 2nd, 3rd all received unique E-Peen™ for their efforts. 4-10 all received the same E-Peen™.

– There are archives of the results of Season 1, as well as an overall ranking for the current season available.

– We will be adding new E-Peen for reaching total medal thresholds over the next few days, something like has been suggested here.

I still think double medals in the last week is pretty lame, especially with the way brackets are chosen. For over a month, people have been stuck in the top couple brackets fighting hard for the chance at even one medal. Suddenly, a player in a 5-person bracket (gray giraffe) has a fairly easy chance to rocket past all of them into 8th place? While they failed, two other 6-medal characters made it to 14 from this week. I guess that could be a strategy next round, deliberately stay out of the top couple brackets, or have enough alts that you don’t need to worry, and then just ninja an e-peen.

Don’t give away my strategy. Bastard.

Kinda did happen; I was actually able to play in the last few minutes and was going for min scoops when suddenly you had like 11-12 of each. But you couldn’t take away my Dungeon Master, oh no; only Arktor could have tied, and I was doing my best to stop him.

And I did promise that this was the last time Barely Legal would be playing Domination, and I still stick to that. Why? Well, you might know the reason by the time you read this post. If not, stay tuned…
