That’s why I like the Guess my Number solution, because in my opinion it solves both problems. If the wiki is right in saying that perfect play results in a 35% win rate, then a player simply CAN’T spend countless hours placing F1000 bets, even with a large bankroll. Instead they’ll have to use visits to earn fleez in order to get antifreeze, which would leave chocolate as the only scoop which doesn’t require a visit investment. As an added bonus, it’ll give players something to “spend” their excess fleez on. |

Pretty much anything without a ceiling on scoops will not solve the problem. Players will simply switch from playing blackjack for scoops, to playing for flezz to rebuild the supply when guess the number drains them. scully edited this message on 04/13/2011 10:48AM |

That’s counting on luck for the most part. Even with the best charts in the world, the odds are with the house. |

No, there is something off with the way Gamblebot runs blackjack. I think it’s sticking on the soft 17 and not counting it’s own blackjacks as anything besides a regular 21 allowing you a chance to tie. If you start with a decent bankroll, enough to survive a mean losing streak, you will gain flezz. I’ve been on big losing streaks, but everyone of my characters is up flezz from playing blackjack. scully edited this message on 04/29/2008 11:41PM |

The house doesn’t usually play rules that make it lose money all the time. Hell, try finding a single-deck 3:2 payout game of Blackjack with a reasonable table minimum, let alone the other ridiculous rules GB has. |

Alright people, I’ve reviewed everything and in keeping with the theme (fixing the AF issue – and looking to visit the BJ flezz generating issue afterwards) this is what we’re proposing.
Step 1 – AF scoop control: – Add AF scoops to all games – Limit scoops to 5 per day
Step 2 – Blackjack balancing: – Blackjack (21) payout is 6:5 (instead of 3:2) – Push (ties) yeilds 75% return only – Dealer hits on a soft 17 – Multiple decks (4) – Option to split – Maybe: After splitting, player receive 1 scoop for winning each hand or loses 1 for losing each hand – Can’t double down a split – No spliting aces – Maybe: On double down, player receive 2 scoops for winning, lose 1 for losing
Step 3 – Limit removal – Consider removing the scoop limits
We’ll implement step 1 today. Step 2 will come in the coming weeks. Step 3 will happen after step 2 has been done and is generating results.
How does this sound? BINGEBOT 2015 edited this message on 04/30/2008 1:46PM |

I don’t like step one, but I realize a quick fix is needed, ugly though it may be. Step two would give the house a good percentage and makes sense. Well, off to make a bit of free and scoops then while I still can! |

The first part of Step 1 is redundant. No one in their right mind would play the other games for their five antifreeze (if it is true that there is indeed a strategy for profiting from Blackjack).
In fact, adding antifreeze to all games (most specifically RPS) will lead to further consequences. Once Step 2 is implemented everyone will switch to RPS for their antifreeze (RPS breaks even on average), and once Step 3 is implemented everyone with a decent bankroll will once again be earning infinite antifreeze.
Antifreeze, in my opinion, should never be added to a game with 50/50 or better odds. |

So max antifreeze in one week would come to 44: 5 X 7 + 9*? That is, of course, bumuming the best.

Step 2 sounds like proper rules, i like the whole 3 step solution as it will finally allow a lot of people to come back to Dom. |

Yeah I think you’re right. Before we look on lifting the AF limit we’ll have to visit whether RPS should yield scoops at all (which it probably shouldn’t).

as someone who is currently down about 55k, some of the step 2 changes seem too harsh (like the return on ties and the 6/5ths on blackjack) |

Yeah. They’re going overboard on gambling when the issue isn’t gambling, it’s AF Scoops. Oh, well. |

Some of the gamblebot changes seem pretty solid (6-5 payout on blackjack, incorporating splits, going with multiple decks) others are a bit over the top (75% return on pushes is brutal). I realize there is a need to reduce the easy flow of blackjack flezz for the composition players but I wonder if this will hurt the newbie players trying to gamble in order to get a few more smileprins to beat a tough forum more than it would hurt someone like summergirl.
Overall though I’m pretty happy with most of the suggestions being put forth, after all you can always go ahead and revise them again if they end up being too draconian. |

Make Gamblebot kick you out if you net more than 10000 in Blackjack in a day. Have it accuse you of counting cards or something. |

Look at the Flezz leaderboard. Summergirl is exploiting it. Statistically, there’s a 1:10^35 chance of consistently making that much money from blackjack. |

What are you using to get those odds? If you’re using some standard Blackjack odds, your calculations don’t make sense because GB plays a set of rules I doubt have ever existed in a casino-style Blackjack game, so it’s hard to get odds on it without running the full set of possibilities.
And if I’m right about the odds right now, and the player’s got an edge with proper play, then the chance of consistently making that much money from blackjack is pretty good — you just need a ****load of time, which I think Summergirl’s clearly demonstrated she has. |
