I think dragons in signatures, while annoying, are perfectly fine. The problem began when posting dragons became a form of trolling. I never had a problem with Fingerz posting her dragons, because she never did it maliciously (except maybe to Patch, but he deserved it).

IMO, there should be a rule restricting them to people’s signatures. This way, they stay out of non-RP forums, cannot be used as spam in and of themselves, and would generally be less havoc-prone.

Well, the “no trolling” was more of an attempt to point out that I wanted this to remain a serious discussion about if as many people as it seemed actually got upset over dragons being posted places. Since this is a non-rp forum there is automatically no trolling, but some people seem to have trouble containing themselves and I wanted there to be an extra reminder.

I kinda like the idea of restricting dragons to signatures, then you can’t go overboard with them huh? Maybe that’s too restrictive?

They even had to make a specific rule that people cannot post them in the stickies of any forum because they were getting out of hand.

This was especially true in the sticky’d camwhore forums.

I couldn’t care less about people posting dragons; I simply ignore them. However, seeing as you made the common mistake of putting “I could care less”, I have no choice but to vote for the other.

But seriously, it does get rather annoying when there’s a whole page of dragons… maybe keep it to just certain sections.

This is what I thought as well, even before this poll. Also if the thread title hadn’t specifically forbade trolling I would have quoted Fingerz first post and made fun of it now.

probrably cause dragons are an obscure form of trolling through spam

1. If someone enjoys a thing I don’t like it.

2. Fingerz does NOT only post them in bad threads. She posts them everywhere just like everyone else.

3. Long sigs are to protest the tyranny of the moderators!
