Cirgreat timesstantially, lower luck does seem to help. I dropped my luck by 40 today (unequipping the Beast0rs) and on all four forum visits at least 6/10 .moar drops were pieces of darkside. With 68 luck, I was regularly getting only 1-3 pieces of darkside on a visit with 10-11 threads.

47/50 now.

Mind you I had a few pink floyds from the Trident Media and so.

This character has 65 Luck with pwning gear on, and I don’t seem to get as many pink floyds as I did with my low luck characters.

Honestly I doubt it. Atleast don’t hope so.

Look how many people he has made happy by making it somewhat accessible, and it’s not like it’s a one-day job to get it under ANY cirgreat timesstances. Additionally people will have to tune down on Dom and flezz gain while grinding, and thereby serving as an alternative end-game activity.

This has also brought forth alot of of nice discussions and speculations about the effect of Luck with .moars.

And lastly, I dare not imagine the ****storm of bumhurt people he will face if he does Log in to see images!

Hmm I just thought of a possible explanation, and would like some input.

Just stating what we know first, and then making my deduction so you (hopefully) can follow my train of thoughts:

Log in to see images! pink floyd was added to HoFF long after the rest of HoFF’s drops

So, I bumume that since every thread drops 1 moar file, the Luck factor must have something to do with which file drops. I dare also bumume that each thread does not check which files you need and calculate the drop from that, simply because that would go against alot of the stats posted in this thread.

Gathered from above, my guess would then be that each full file has a certain drop rate altered by a certain amount of Luck. If that’s the case, then when .moar files are added to a forum it must be implemented with a “chance table”, which could basicly be an ordered list of the files that drop, and the more luck you have, the bigger the chances to get something from further down the list.

Take for example this made-up priority list from HoFF:

If Luck helps you get further down the list, then what if ET added pink floyd to the TOP of the list instead at the bottom? That would cause high luck to increase the chances of “moving past” it when pseudo-randomly getting a .moar file.

Just dropped my Luck all the way down to 1.

And it does seem that Pink Floyd’s coming up more frequently. Also, got the last 2 pieces I needed in one run at that changed Luck.

Could be coincidence. But I dunno…
