Now, now. If people who are easily offended, and who can dish it out but not take it, go off the deep end, that’s not the fault of society — it’s the fault of the individual.
Everything would’ve been fine, no doubt, if the guy didn’t go ballistic, repeatedly. He thought about his actions and acted upon them instead of taking a rest. Most people, even ones who have experienced pretty much the same things as this one, on this very site, knew to take a rest and came back feeling better. Some even turned into valuable members of society. Or at least of this community.
So, please don’t blame the pranksters: blame the guy who did the crimes.

Just want to sum up some thoughts: Was the prank really “mean” or evil? No. I think it could just as easily happened to anybody here, if people thought someone would fall for it, and whoever it was would probably pretend to get angry and laugh it off. But (and this is bumuming he’s really 13) to a probably already messed up 13 year old, it could be really tough. Does that mean anyone did anything wrong? No – if you want to play with the big boys, you’re gonna get knocked down. And kid, if you read this – understand that no matter how awful life seems now, it’s gonna get much worse. So don’t let a bunch of internet **** **** you off, in the grand scheme of things, it’s really meaningless.
