Regarding the new E-peen length systemI haven’t even looked at the size of my epeen since I last haxled two days ago, but I fully support this change.
However, given the reactions here I’d like to suggest that the rescale not be quite so severe. I mean, while it would be NICE to walk around as a 20” hermaphroditic camwhore, it’s mostly that people losing 5+ inches are going to be a tad upset.

Regarding the new E-peen length systemIf you want peenz to devalue the more they’re obtained, then have them give each person who gets the peen less and less of a reward for it. After all, being the FIRST person to do something is a LOT more impressive than the 9000th person to do it. Also, that would take away the incentive for players to hog the leaderboards to keep their peen up.
Of course, NOT degrading peen length would be far more entertaining – who could say no to the lulz from people walking around with 32’ ePeens? (view post) |

No, it goes by what percentage of your ego is gone. The higher your max ego the closer you can get to 0% without putting yourself at risk, and the more of a damage boost you have after LADing. At 100ego, you would need to bring yourself down to 2 ego to get a 1.98 multiplier to your offense and you’d be at only a 1.8 multiplier after LAD kicked in. At 1000 ego you get the 1.98 multiplier at 20ego, and LAD puts you right back there after the first hit.
Also, Maha, you forgot that you need to boost your ego if you want to get a high low-ego bonus. You NEED that to take-down Geronimo, as without it you would need an offense of around 312.

Where do you want to learn about Forumwarz website updates?Black box for updates that significantly affect gameplay, since people who just play the game won’t visit the blog, twitter, or flamebate. Blog for general announcements and ‘behind the scenes’ stuff, or anything that requires more than one or two lines to describe. Twitter for minor changes, status updates, and other quick blurbs. Flamebate for things that require user feedback, like this thread.
That’s basically the way things are now, it just needs to be codified as procedure.
The reasons for this is simple: The black box is invasive, annoying, and as near as I can tell impossible to hide or remove. That makes it perfect for it’s job, as it should only be used for short messages that people NEED to see. It’s the “You are going to ****ing pay attention to me” way of telling players things.
The blog is like a dumptruck; you can load so much **** into it that it just feels wrong to post in it for tiny chucks of text. Also, smaller messages clutter things up while pushing the larger posts off the page.
Twitter is ideal for having lots of short messages, so anything that doesn’t warrant a flood of text (Hi!) can be easily handled there.
Flamebate lets users respond without having to make/login-to a different account on a different service; if they play forumwarz, they can just go into the thread and contribute. That makes it perfect for getting feedback from the community (Moreso for ideas and suggestions than sample data – threads skew early and often if you’re trying to get facts out of them) (view post) |

Max damage?Ok, as I’ve already put in the wiki, I’m now testing a new value for offense. It has to be somewhere between 7.6033 and 7.6142 in order to properly round to +700% at 92 offense, but since damage is an integer I need the strongest non-ego-boosted attacks possible in order to get accurate information.
I just hope that ET is having it round instead of just dropping extraneous decimal places; it would make things that much more complicated.
On a related note, the new numbers suggest that you would need an offense of about 159 while being at 2% hp to take-out the Geronimo boss thread. (view post) |

The numbers are actually quite close. I’m starting to think that the error is from the calculation of the offense point bonus, rather than the low-ego bonus.

Last I checked, that’s not supposed to be ABLE to take damage.
I find this hilarious, and I think I’m just going to not bother repairing things until this bug is quashed – my guess is that ET will solve this by fixing all items, giving people flezz, a public apology, some combination thereof, or ham. All the options I see are good ones. (view post) |
