So, something happened earlier and apparently it's up to either me or Hobart to bring up these things.I think Charles would be quite happy to see so many interesting personalities have emerged in this location to help ensure that he is not maltreated again should he be allowed to visit. I’ll be sure to mention this surge to his doctors and see what they have to say about it.
Although Mr. Banhammer, if you could direct me to who above is a role-player, I’ll be sure to exclude them from Charles’ “friends” list. I had hoped by now you would no longer be allowing role-playing here, for the sanity of all. Although I do suppose that restricting them to the right half of the front page would help shield Charles from their influence, so that would certainly suffice.

FAIL's guide to good RPing and better posting in generalI’ve never seen the real purpose behind role playing. Why would someone want to be someone else?
I knew some fellows in high school who played Dragons and Dungeons but they were rather geeky, and one killed himself because his “character” “died”. Is that healthy behavior, I ask you?
And besides, how could we get to know the real people on the other side of the screen if they’re pretending to be someone else? I’m actually disappointed that this behavior is being encouraged. Charles thought he was finding some true friends, especially in Marcus, and he would be crushed to find out people aren’t who they say they are.
I’d like to ask the moderators of this site to please enforce a “no role-playing” rule, for everybody’s mental health and well-being. (view post) |

First, please allow me to apologize for his long absence from these boards. He had a bit of a setback with his therapy, and it took a while for us to find a new house.
As part of his new therapy regime, he’s not allowed to come here, but I told him I’d keep an eye out on things here and report back to him. He misses his friends, especially Marcus. Does anybody know how he’s doing?
Regardless, I came here because it looks like you folks aren’t familiar with Snopes.com. Snopes is an excellent website for checking on the validity of e-mail solicitations which don’t sound legitimate.
As it turns out, Fingerz (which should be with an ’s’, but that’s a different topic on the problems with phonetics), this is a scam. The FBI wouldn’t reward you for illegal activities. You can read more about this particular scam here.
