Well, there are some valid critiques here. I might as well respond.

1. Branching: Even in the GTA series, while it looks like you have free will, you pretty much have to follow the storyline. We tried to make it more “sandboxy” and let you choose your path more, but we didn’t purposely make the story branch off. We would like to do some of that for Ep 3, but implementing it here would’ve just been superficial.

2. The LOLcat E-Peen is a bit unusual. I’ll admit it’s a bit forced. Trout’s philosophy has usually been that every Peen should be obtainable by just about everyone, and that there should be an equal and opposite Peen for every one in the ecosystem. In the case of the LOLcat Peen, you’re saying we should have a different one for each consequence? In other words, pander to Peenwhores. That’s what we’ve usually done. Here’s an example of “free will,” which a few players are willing to ignore in order to get an extra Peen.

3. We tried to reduce “grindan” as much as possible. There will be some more small tweaks, but the idea is a skilled player should be able to advance without spending excess time grinding lower-level forums. Unless you mean pwning forums in general…but that’s how you play Forumwarz. It’s definitely “too late” to fix that. Log in to see images!

I’ve been grindan for nearly a week now without being able to advance the Ep. 2 story at all thanks to the huge gap in all of Reilly O’Bill’s requested forums. It’s really ****ing me off. I figure while I’m grindan on still only 4 forums a ****ing day (my biggest gripe), I can at least work on domination and streak e-peening as well, so I’m keeping a log of my forum visits. Now in order to even gain any cred at all, I’m having to work on forums above my level, which is chapping my bum as well.

Whine **** complain, whatever, but it’s a huge, and extraordinarily un-fun, bump in the road to me. The root of all my problems is that goddamn 4 forum a day limit, otherwise grindan wouldn’t be nearly as annoying. It’s like I can only play the game for maybe 10 minutes a day. 1. why are you basing an internet browser game off of GTA. the plot in ForumWarz just doesn’t work for railroading through. i mean given how you attack the pentagon and all

3. no such thing as “being good in forumwarz.” it’s an RPG, and god knows that the only challenge is not quitting out of boredom

Doesn’t address alignments being useless. You obtain these by being mean/good with specific characters and as a result LOTS of people have both E-Peens. On one case your alignment doesn’t even move, once you’re done.

You’re talking like that’s not intended, so if you want to clarify it. Because as it is, you can obtain both E-Peens and still finish EP2 with the alignment you were planning on.

Sure you can obtain both if you know what you’re doing. You’ll notice that’s possible in most RPGs that allow you to choose a good and evil path.

The idea is if you consistently play as evil you can get one reward, if you consistently play good you can get the other.

Secondly, while alignment isn’t used as much as I wanted it to be (I’ve talked about this before), it does open the door to get lots more flezz from the WoeIsModerator mission, as you can’t pick the most evil or most good choices without already being somewhat evil or good.
