Question concerning booksI bought the Art of Flamewar from Kyoubai and was able to equip it shortly after Kyoubai went up. Took a few days, IIRC, but I know that it was before the maintenance.
Since then, I’ve bought What Do You Call a Democrat?, 59 Recipes For Water, and Hacker Hero. They’re all working fine for me.

Also, this. If an internet nerd requires a bookstore to learn how to read books (makes a certain degree of sense, I’ll admit), then a store where one is able to buy books, even if it is only an auction house, ought to qualify as a “bookstore”. After all, what good little self-respecting troll or hacker would be able to walk around a store without fingering all the goods at least a little (no pun intended)?
I’m still having trouble with the idea of camwhores or permanoobs being able to read at all, though. I’m sure I’ll think of something eventually. Log in to see images! (view post) |

I really don’t care about the draginz all that much. It’s been interesting to see them evolve into another FW meme, though. (view post) |

ITT: We help CZ identify kyoubai abuseFalse positive fixed again. Gotta say, as annoying as they are, at least CZ is staying on top of fixing the problems when they’re reported – both of mine got fixed and flezz/items returned within 48 hours of the report/tubmail (thanks guys!). (view post) |

Item clbumifications?Due to losing a great timesulative total of somewhere around 8 or 9 million flezz in the past week due to false positives for abuse of Kyoubai!, I thought a clbumification system of relative worth might be worth putting into effect, beyond type of file.
Moar files or items like the Versnatche Earbleeders, The Soggiest Cracker, Pink Floyd, etc – items that give, oh, say, +7 or up to a given stat or +100 or more to sexiness, processing power, etc – might be clbumified as “top tier” items, or something of the sort. Bidding on these items would be freely allowed to reach astronomical proportions with no bug reports sent – literally no ceiling on them, and flagging only allowed on them if flezz transfers between alts were suspected. On the other hand, items like the Baby Seal Coat or the Squirting woman's genitalss of Namibia – items that gave something like +4-7 of any given stat (or +50-90 dbaggery, tears, etc)- would be mid-tier. Bidding on these items would have an artificial “ceiling” of 2 million flezz or something, after which they would be suspected of abuse. And the lowest tier – pretty much anything underneath middle tear – would have an artificial ceiling of 500,000 flezz or something, after which it might be considered abuse.
Given, this system would suck pretty hardcore if it was put into effect right now exactly as written. But something of the sort, I think, might help a bit with all of these false positives, and might even add a new element of parody to the game: collectors.
Just a thought. (view post) |
