so who else likes buildr, fundamentally?SanDyk Posted:
I disagree. The only reason he wins is because people voted for them. Like it or not, many of his ideas are good. And while I don’t like his monopoly over forum ideas (after all, I’m one of his many competitors), I unwittingly vote for good ideas which turn out to be his from time to time. If any of Bashy’s idea sucks, natural selection will do its job and shoot it down.

Table breaking giant images are annoying, but at the same time they’re voted down quickly. As for the removal of images, perhaps there should be a rule on using only free image hostings which never remove them? Or Log in to see images! could choose to host those image themselves. As for videos, there is nothing much to be done about them.
At least using images in Typical Posts and Angry Replies should continue to be allowed. An image worth more than a thousand words, after all. (view post) |

Petition to preserve Fran is FatFran Posted: 1337xxxxxxxxxlolololololololololxxxxxxxxx1337 Posted: Wow, elitist much? For the record, I neither come from 4chan nor I like ED’s style of “humor.” I’m more of an Uncyclopedia and Cracked kind of guy, appreciating intelligent laughs. And while I’m not going to tell my age here, in real life I’m much older than 15 years old.
And yet I don’t find this extremely obscure in-joke funny.
Oh, isn’t it ironic that submissions from “adults with mature senses of humor” are repetitions of “fine upstanding member of society fine upstanding member of society fine upstanding member of society”, and “adults with mature senses of humor” keep voting them up?
Way to show those “15 yo’s who can only repeat everything they hear” guys! (view post) |

And maybe anything else after Sunday?
I once had this contest for Style with another guy on Multiple Personality Order. For some reason, my two previously submitted styles were shot down. And yet, the leader had very low score. So it’s a race to the finish line at the last minute. It was ridiculous. I submitted two or three style at the last hour, which were all voted down. In the end, the winner won by 3 to 0.
I know this is unsportsmanlike, and might be downright shameful. And I, like the other guy, was a part of it. Log in to see images! (view post) |

See the problem here? Not only they’re breaking Forumbuildr, now they’re breaking Domination itself.
I can hardly see how this is fair or acceptable. Winning Log in to see images! is another…

According to Wikipedia:In positive psychology, apathy is described as a response to an easy challenge for which the subject has matched skills. |

Topic IconsYes, you have to vote your own topic icons again after you’ve submitted them, which is quite strange considering anything else is voted automatically.
Perhaps this needs fixing? (view post) |

What is the name of this typeface?Heh, that’s my submission. Too bad it didn’t win.
And yes, the font is Tall Paul. And I believe it came with my copy of Windows XP. Nothing spells ‘Apathy’ better than it.

****ty ideas of the weekman-man Posted: I thought this thread is about Forumbuildr. Still, anyone notice that recent Itembuildr tattoos have VERY SIMILAR STATS? What the heck is that? Only different stats are Max Tears and tattoo prices. Why do we need more than one tattoo with +6 Attack and Defense anyway?
On the Forumbuildr front, we have two ideas that were ignored and voted down for a long time coming up, with less than fifteen total votes. What does that speak of their qualities? Where are all the good ideas when we need them? Submitters of those ideas probably give up after a few months of close defeat, leaving us with those… things.
I downvoted both of the “winning candidates.” But if I have to choose, I wish Alliance of the Apathetic win. Because the Hemp one is just… Log in to see images! (view post) |

****ty ideas of the weekHeh, the credits page was broken as well. It is now fixed.
That was a fun week. I gave everything I had into that concept, and some of them scored nicely. Also I was very glad to see people sent their ideas in. They really bring back fond memories of the earlier days of the web. Damn, I feel old again. Log in to see images!
One thing I regret though, is my failure to submit my forum logo on time to make a difference. Although I have experience with Photoshop, I have no image editing program on this computer of mine, other than Paint and ACD See. Log in to see images!. I had to learn it, and then made the most stereotypically bad Web 1.0 design I can think of. Well, I did that, and submitted it two hours before the deadline, gathering 3 upvotes. I wonder what would happen if I was more prepared. I went back to make an nausea-induced animated version and post it on discussion, again on the last day, with twelve hours left (when you had limited time, scope creep didn’t help either) but it also failed to gather enough votes.
Anyway, because I don’t want it to go to waste, and because I’m so damn proud of my work Log in to see images!, I’m posting it here: Log in to see images!
This is the static version. For the animated one, click on the link. I should warn you though, if you are prone to epilepsy, don’t click it, or at least don’t look at it for too long. Heck, I myself felt a little bit sick staring at it. The reason I don’t post it here is because I don’t want the mods to think I’m trolling and ban me. It’s not a really flashing image or anything, but a representation of bad web design, consisting of <blink> tag, <marquee> tag, and animated gifs that was so common during the Web 1.0 era. It’s not intentionally harmful, but bad design tends to have that side effect.
P.S. Why does it gets difficulty level of 6 anyway? Come on! We’re talking about angry old veterans here! P.P.S. On the other hand, I might have answered my own question with that… (view post) |

Seriously though, that’s the problem that plague blink and marquee tags. Any links placed inside those tags are, in Wikipedia words, “notoriously difficult to click, and can easily frustrate users.” And yet people still continue to do it…
