Scoops are rewards for performing certain Forumwarz actions. One of those actions is being a decent writer (where decent == liked by the mbumes). If you’re trying to play to the best of your ability, it’d be foolish not to put forth the effort to attain a decent buildr score.

While skill at dom != creativity, creativity is an undeniable aspect of dom.

Speaking from my experience, I put forth the effort frequently, using almost all of my submissions each week. But I’m only in tune with a small percentage of the voters — my submissions usually have almost exactly the same number of upvotes and downvotes. My buildr score fluctuates between about 11 and 13, despite many weeks of trying. The people who regularly garner 30+ upvotes have a large chocolate advantage over me which I cannot overcome, unlike in the other scoops where I can be on equal footing because there’s nothing subjective about them.
