The cost (if you’re grinding the top end forums) is around 300k  in job rewards and deliveries, for a 50k  prize, plus two weeks of dom participation if that’s your thing. So basically you’re paying a 250k +potential dom medals+peen, to access some new content. Not worth it IMO.

And for those players in the mid-tier, that recently completed Ep. 2 and haven’t yet started grinding the top forums, this is a pretty nice offer.

The idea that every special thing should be available to everyone is contradictory. If it’s available to everyone, all the time, then it’s not special.

Some people get to brag about how they were here on Day One.

Some people get to brag about how they beat Great Firewall before Episode 2 launched.

Now some people get to brag about how they were one of the 25 lucky ones to beat the new quest when it launched. And those that missed it have at least FIVE chances to own the E-Peen.

In fact, special promotions that have limited access time are great ways to encourage new players to sign up and keep visiting the site. And this event sure has caused a lot of discussion amongst the players.

I’d say it’s done it’s job quite well.

And as far as ruining your Dom streak, how many super serious Dom players would have broken their streak, especially when they’re striving for the top Medal spots in this Season’s Dom, just to get a different E-Peen? Considering that it’s a transferable E-Peen, and you could always wait until after the Season was over to offer an insane amount of Flezz to a current holder, there is no way you can say that this E-Peen is unattainable after the first 25 people earned it.

I’m selling mine today, and for the right amount of Flezz, I’m pretty sure at least half of the other people would too. I’m probably selling it too cheaply as well, but E-Peen isn’t as important to me to have to hoard this one.
