Oh man, I know this all too well. As an atheist, I don’t have a God to rely on to help me out, so I just stay away from drugs and alcohol and such on my own, though. I can honestly say I have never smoked, drank or used drugs. Despite living in Holland, too.

I likes my porn, though. Hentai, preferably, but whatever. I’m not going to deny my body everything. Just the stuff that can really harm it. My worst ‘addiction’ at this point is probably sugar.

Yeah, it certainly is hard, resisting all these drugs and alcohol without any god to scare me into doing so. Good thing I’ve never really wanted to do something that harmful to my body in the first place.

But porn? **** yeah porn.

Why is lust wrong? Because a book cobbled together from texts transcribed from the oral traditions of pre-clbumical brigands says so? Or is it something to do with the part where a (probably fictional) son of a carpenter figured out that almost the only way he could DO anything with his life was to convince the pre-deluded mbumes that he was the son of said brigands war god?

Ah well, at least the Jesus myth got people to stop sacrificing sheep. So that’s something.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with feeling sexual desire. It is simply a natural part of the way the human body functions. Unless acted upon in a negative way (enjoy, pedophilia etc) it harms no one. Lust is not “bad”. Hence, porn is not “bad”.
