Agreed, I’d rather see 48 hours as an option. When I list my Equipment in my shop, 24 hours is just a bit too short during the week (I don’t want to lose a deposit because we happened to have a slow traffic day.)

But 48 hours would be perfect for the way traffic works in my store, just so I can be on the safe side. So far, all of my major auctions have completed within the 24 hours, but 48 would be perfect for me.
