The problem with the cap is this:

– If we don’t cap it, people will grind for months and months, making the next episode simple like a lot did with E2. That wasn’t the ideal situation, even though I honestly think they “earned” it by doing all that grinding post E1.

– If we do cap it, it removes the challenge from that one leaderboard.

Ultimately we decided to cap it to make the next episode challenging to everyone. It does make that one leaderboard a little weird (and we will probably end up removing it.) but instead we will come up with some other post-E2 challenges for people to work towards.

Cred, after all, is just one stat, and that’s one leaderboard. We can add tons of new end game content that works on different principles.

Actually at the start of ep2 I thought you could find a way to solve that problem but you didn’t.

The idea is quite simple. At the moment you reach a certain level by reaching a certain cred. But alternatively you can make it so that everyone has the same amount of cred to gain in order to level up, regardless of how much cred he has.
