Attempt #2:

Way the hell back in the day, I used to work at a petting zoo at a local kid’s theme park. I was holding the angora rabbit one day and this lady walks up to me (she was AT LEAST 20… that’s important) and starts asking me questions about the rabbit. Eventually, she gets to “Rabbits lay eggs, don’t they?”

“Um, no. They give live birth”

“Wow! I really thought they laid eggs!”

At this point, her boyfriend can NOT contain his laughter… I’m not entirely sure how I did.

“No, no eggs here. It’s pretty much birds and reptiles that lay eggs.”

I **** you not, my hand to God, she actually said “But the Cadbury Bunny lays eggs on TV!!” and had the most confused look on her face.

At that point I told her that I needed to take the rabbit back to the barn so he could eat… I’d had him out for a long time. Of course, that was a lie, but I had to get out of guest earshot so I could laugh my bum off without dropping the poor rabbit.

Believe me… I wish I were kidding in any way about that. It’s an honest to God true story that happened to me. And I’ve shared it with anyone willing to listen every time I think about it. Log in to see images!
