Any full wipe reset will be met with upset – witness the fuss when it was first announced that Dom was going to be reset. There was a pretty solid “well, what’s the point then?” feeling. Any game out there would like old time players while bringing in new ones as well. It does no good for the old players to wander off, because frankly they bring in a lot of the new players. Why bother putting in any effort beyond finishing the basic game, if there isn’t any actual reason to do so?

However, a monthly (or whatever) reset, similar to the one used for the Domination season could be very cool. Leaderboards wiped and you only pop onto a leaderboard with newly earned stuff, but that stuff adds to your old total. Ex: reset happens and during that day a new person posts in one of nana’s threads, but no one posts in one of Lara Croft’s. Because Lara Croft hasn’t seen any new posts in the new season nana is on top. Of course as soon as someone new replies to one of Lara Croft’s posts he will be back on top.
