You race up the staircase, your heart pounding in your chest even as you flee the pit. Behind you, the sounds of the kobold mob seems to be starting up into a full orchestrated cacophony: you would turn and look, but you’re not too sure if it’s a good idea to run up the stairs while looking behind you.

Jason and Adin: Strangely enough, even though the noise is starting to swell, you don’t hear any weapons being drawn or even any sounds of movement towards you.

Just as quickly, though, the sound dies down, and all is silent save for the beating of your hearts. You think you’re safe, at least for now. The pit is now below and behind you, and you’re back on the landing where you initially started.
