This thread is inevitable, and so I thought that I shouldn’t delay it any further (it would be irresponsible of me, indeed).

Genericangstyposter was pretty simple for me, actually, because I noticed that in e-mail and AIM, everyone had some ridiculously “dark” name, like “Lostblackdreamer,” or “unlovedalone40294.” One day I saw one of these people and I said, “Huh… what a generic angsty poster.” Then, I took that name (it used to be Cybercompost, or Rountree, or Loki). That’s pretty much it.
