Seventeen ****ing years.

That’s how long ago I discovered Forumwarz. In internet terms that’s an internity.

I don’t know what possessed me to pick up this absurdly tedious game at first, but I know the reason I stayed around for 2 years or so. It was all of you. A bunch of bored individuals from all over the world who teased each other, but ultimately net positive in each others lives. We were more familiar than any internet community has a right to be. We knew each other more than an Internet community would ever today. **** it. We actually tolerated each other, and in a few cases even CARED about each other. That’s ****ing something.

Which makes me sad because I did not see that right away and I acted like a fool towards some of you and for that I am sorry. I was a dumb kid. It’s no excuse, but it is what it is.

But be that as it may, I always felt this place was special. That’s why, every couple of years or so, I check back.

And even though we are all different people by now, most of you have jobs and careers and don’t have time for a dumb internet game, many of you probably have KIDS by now, and sadly, statistically speaking, one or two of you are probably dead, I want you all to know that you made a positive mark on one person’s life (2008-2010 were rough), and for that I thank you.

Even if just five people read this I will be happy. Take care of yourselves.

I haven’t worked on this game in a long time, but I’m so glad I’ve kept the servers running all this time so that people can revisit this snapshot of the Internet in the early 2000s. It was a simpler, more disgusting, time.

I feel like I’ve come a long way since then and learned a lot, but it will always be something cool that I feel proud of creating with my close friends.
