Forumwarz actually costs very little to run these days since we’re down to one server we’ve already paid for in a colocation. I think it rounds up to about $100 per month.

Currently it makes slightly more than that but it’s been dropping steadily. I imagine at some point it’ll go into the red but that hasn’t happened yet.

We haven’t paid anyone a salary from it forever. All the income goes into an account that we use to pay for the costs. There’s a little extra in there now but that’ll help when the costs start going into the red.

That’s… depressing. I would’ve guessed at least $500 in revenue on the low end. Good to hear from you Trout and hope you’re doing well fabulous person

I might not hang out here much anymore, but I do really care about Forumwarz. Making this game was one of the best things I ever did. Even if the content has run its course, I want to keep it around as long as possible in some form.

The content hasn’t really run its course; so much as become a time capsule or a snap shot of what the internet used to be like. When it wasn’t as diluted and policed as it is now. Log in to see images!

D’aww… makes me want to toss a few bucks into the pot regardless of if this game becomes long term for me or not. Honestly, I think it’s important for the world to laugh at itself and feel there isn’t enough decent satire of the internet on the internet these days. Yes, I’m ignoring Fox News.
