This. Although I’m glad that people like some of our .moar names.

The names are the best thing about the moars.

It’s understandable that a lot of files suck but the main problem is that most stats except Offense are still pretty much useless. Actually you don’t really need good moars at all to play the game. Even a re-re without top gear can beat at level 69 almost all forums without consumables. You probably need middle-rate moars to get your 3 lemons if you play dom but those are cheap.

Luck is only needed to get better moars and deliveries, but hey, like I said you can do without good moars and who really needs flezz except to buy better equipment that you don’t really need? (And the best way to grind flezz requires low luck… )

Defense is more or less useless, Charisma is only good for better deliveries but it’s capped, so you don’t have an advantage if you pwn forums of high enough level and who needs flezz anyway… Frugality is only useful if you want to buy really expensive stuff (but who needs that… ), the cap for selling stuff for the highest price in the Ppwn Shoppe is very low (at 10 I think). And Upkeep, well put measly 20 points into it and Bruce Bear will starve to death…

But it’s good that all stats besides Offense are useless because there is no easy way to change your stats (an equipment likewise). Using Haxlrose is a HUGE pain in the bum, it requires over 150 clicks and you have to rearrange your combat toolbar…

So yeah, I’ve never really bothered spading moar files. I grind some to sell them with a few alts but only because I want to do something with the visits and being rich feels good, not that I actually buy stuff with my wealth. Log in to see images!

Yeah, that’s more or less the heart of the problem. Any .moar that doesn’t have an Offense modifier, no matter how good it is in other categories, is pretty much a worthless reward for the grind.

So… looks like the RNG likes me today. 8 visits, 56 drops, 5 of them were belgium pieces. I got 2 on consecutive threads at one point… only one new piece, but it’d be nice if the belgian drought I’ve been would stop, and this is a decent start.

I wonder if it’s related to switching luck value… probably a correlation/causation conflation to say that I changed my luck and then my luck changed, but it did happen that way.

Not immediately, it’s been 100 drops since I changed the value, but it still makes me wonder if there’s some kind of “all mined out” effect after you’ve been running with the same luck value for 500+ drops.

Sounds like a complex programming effort, which would be entirely unnecessary and prolly too much work given how many simple things get abandoned here…

Charisma was NOT capped for Deliveries, Deliveries themselves used to be capped, in theory with a high enough Charisma you would have been able to get max deliveries grinding level 1 Forums. It is however fantastic for Fan saving as Phuquit said.

Also, if the file pieces and rarity had any connection to their stats then grinding them would be more exciting. I still have no idea how Bonsai got spaded so fast, but such great things spaded so quickly led to everything worse being crap. At first we would have been plenty happy to see +10 Off on most files while now that’s useless.

For spading, RAM EATING MEMORY LEAK.exec and SecreSecure Known Vulnerabilities (by Severity).sprd are now easier, since they’re on the latest buildr forum (Large Hadron whatever whatever)

So has RAM but at 22 Off, it’s tied for highest Offense boost from a Program .moar with Bonsai Buddy, only now it’s possibly more available.

Nevertheless, they’re not unique to one story forum any more. Substitute spading for “getting one” and what I said holds true.
