This made me Log in to see images! So, I read this really cool comic website that’s the best comic wiki I have ever found. One of the things they did was have it so you could have two guys “fight.” As in, they would pair up two characters from any comic (villains, cosmic beings, whatever) and you would vote on who would win. Anyway, they then compiled this info, and used it to “rate” characters. If you look under the picture of the character, you can see their Power Rating. So, out of all character in any comic,
Batman is #6.....
While One-Above-All is #11
Just to put this is perspective, this is under One-Above-All power description: ”The One-Above-All is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the most powerful being in the Marvel Multiverse. His powers are unlimited, incalculable and immeasurable.” He is supposed to represent THE WRITER of the comic. So, I guess this means if the writer tried to write Batman dead he would fail. (Which is ironic because Batman is dead, killed by #220.)
(Oh, God is #84 or #550, and Galactus is #1.) SoronTheBeast edited this message on 01/15/2010 11:11AM |

Batman, given enough time and preparation, can take down anyone. Ever. |

I am confident Galactus and Batman could probably go for about 4 months fighting back and forth. Or pretty much as long as Batman wanted it to go. Log in to see images!
OH WAIT WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? Okay, I was cool with Galactus as one, but 6 billion lives doesn’t put you higher than Batman? Okay, I can still see that. But c’mon… 155 tops? SIGH. I guess I can live with that. Joseph of Suburbia edited this message on 01/14/2010 10:55PM |

Point – Galactus was devoured by zombies in an alternate universe. |

I would argue he should not be more powerful than the WRITER OF THE COMIC!
(additionally, I don’t think he should be more powerful than GOD! and I’m agnostic.) |

If one of your powers is “Omnipotence” I don’t think you should be allowed to play the game anyway. |

What, ME beat Red Skull? It’s also good to hear Alfred E. Neuman could kill Hitler. Joseph of Suburbia edited this message on 01/15/2010 10:09AM |

The writer of the comic can kill Batman, but he’ll just come back from the dead by either a dubious plot device or a retcon. The writer will die sooner or later and when that happens, Batman will still be appearing in comics. |

Batman is not dead. Like Captain America before him, he is trapped in time or the multiverse. The only remainder of his form in our time is the husk that was once his body, but his essence is alive and well. Proof of this can be found in The Blackest Night storyline. When the Black Lanterns attempted to use Batman’s empty corpse to force an emotional reaction from the other DC heroes they were unable to keep his corpse animated, while they had no problem maintaining the corpses of the other, legitimately dead, heroes such as John Jones, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Ted Kord, Kal-L, etc.   Oh, and swine Posted: Couldn’t say it better myself.   /over-geekiness |

CoreyJess Posted: Yet, they DID manage to animate it, and WITH it(and his skull) they have been making all of the black rings. |

SoronTheBeast Posted:
Yes they animated it, but they did not use it to make the black rings, just force them on the other reincarnated heroes once an emotional reaction was achieved. |
