seriously. I got a negative one, probably because one of my submissions had hundreds of downs, but equally as many ups.

I don’t like the formula used, whatever it was.

Hundreds of negatives? Ouch, that almost certainly explains it. What was so bad that you got such a low score?

We’ll definitely be adjusting the formula as time goes on, the most feedback we get will help us improve it.

my enemy “performance_artist” (the sleeping homeless guy) had 198 up and 197 down.

I think buildr score disadvantages those with moderately good submissions way worse than those with bad submissions.

even the people with good submissions are taking the hit because when something is out there for so long it gets a lot of juggling between ups and downs.

the buildr score should be based on finals scores, not total votes in any direction. and getting something accepted should be a huge bump.

I thought the formula was based upon how many total votes your submissions got. Most of mine were either love or hate but in the end they were all in the positive range with the exception of my Enemies submissions which got voted out within the first hour.

I don’t think we should be penalized for swing voting Log in to see images!

I got a Smart Aleck epeen for angry replies and still got a -1 forumbuilder score.

I got at least 6 chocolate scoops, had 2 angry reply submissions accepted, and one forum submission ended up being ranked pretty high. If that all got me a -1, I’m kind of thinking that no matter how well I do, I’m going to screw myself.

I’ll take a look at it tomorrow (super tired today).

If I find it’s hugely unfair I’ll credit everyone a sub or two and it’ll be effective immediately.

frankly I don’t think negative buildr should even be possible. i was really surprised. I dodn’t think it was a reward/punishment system – just a reward system.
