And weirdly, this results in less complaints than anything that’s been on Buildr for a while.

Dunatis Posted: Voting was a bit of a rollercoaster for the pictures as well. I had one of the last 2 left in there so I guess I took more interest than most people would, but mine was doing badly, then winning for a while, then another one came from behind to win.
I guess it beats the normal pattern of everything but 2 or 3 entries going to -5 within hours, then one of the ones remaining going to +50 while the others stay in single digits. |

Basically, there’s no real grounds for complaint. If an item was worse than existing items, people ****ed that it was useless, and if it was better than existing items, it was game-breaking. There was no way to generate an item that wouldn’t either lead to stat inflation or be uninteresting to the higher level players… so, junk. All the fun of thinking up names, none of the constraints, and no worries about whether it’s just like an existing item. Plus, it might add a reason to check your deliveries individually again.
Sounds like a good idea to me. |
