I’ve already started to make changes to Flamebate (such as the last read post link), but there are many more coming. They’re based on many notes gathered from users and moderators, and you’re going to see them appearing soon.
Now, it’s important to realize that none of the changes we’re going to make are final. So when offering criticism, tell us what you like, what you don’t, suggestions to make it better, etc.
We’ll continue to tweak it until Flamebate is much better than it was before. |

Well that’s an issue of perspective. The idea to split came from a mod actually, after being really frustrated with people not knowing the difference between role playing areas and civil areas.
Anyway what you’ve seen doesn’t include the sub pages, which are essentially the same layout as before, except restricted to one section (civil or rp) at a time. |

Split page = AWESOME. Haters need to gtfo. It’s brilliant, making the rp and non-rp boards clearly separated, and it’s something some of us have been suggesting for awhile. To a new player, the current system is confusing at best- the new one will make it easier for them to avoid unnecessary bannings and warnings. Plus the pics are a nice bonus.
It would be neat to be able to see who made the last post in the “5 most recently posted in threads” section, the way we currently can, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if that sort of disappeared…if it’s a thread you’re following, do you really need to know who made the most recent post? You’re going to click it anyway. |
