It’s a simple trick that takes advantage of the way that Flamebate removes quotes when you quote a post. It removes the first quote-opening tag, the last quote-ending tag, and everything in between, whether or not those tags are actually used to form a quote. I tried to include the source in this post, but when I looked at the preview, I saw that apparently [ youtube ] tags aren’t affected by [ code ] tags, so it didn’t work properly. |

Basically, you hide quote tags in image or youtube tags in such a way that part of your post is removed and replaced with an image, a video, or nothing. Here’s a sample:
[img]http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif[quote][/img]Post goes here[img][/quote][/img]
If you post that, it will show up in quotes as the Google logo, unless you have other quote tags in your post screwing things up. |

EDIT: I screwed up somewhere. Currently fixing it.
EDIT 2: It might work now. I don’t fully understand how Flamebate parses BBCode; it does some weird stuff that I can’t explain.
EDIT 3: Maybe there just needs to be a line break somewhere between the quote tags.

Going to have to make a decision soon. Summary so far:
MP: “I deserve to win, cute dog etc.”
DH0: Silent all these years.
The rest: “Just take the damn BP…”
Actually MP, it seems you got through the voting round with a bit of luck, no? DH0 made a deal, honest or not. Seems like he had more of an active strategy to win it. |
