Not really. See, it’s commonly accepted that ‘ALL-CAPS’ in text messages is considered to be ‘shouting’. That’s why most auto-predictive IM programs default to lower case. ‘ALL-CAPS’ is generally considered to be blatantly rude behavior. Using capital lettering for specific emphasis is acceptable, so long as it isn’t overused.
An entire message in all caps is simply poor etiquette, and deliberately intentional. A message with spelling or grammatical errors is (usually) simply an accident, and (usually) unintentional.
Correcting the intentionally rude behavior of ‘ALL-CAPS’ is simply a response to rude behavior. A ‘grammar nazi’ is simply an elitist that engages in rude behavior in response to an unintentional accident.
