OR, it could be the lack of interest of believing in something.
I consider my self an athiest, but not as a religion, because I don’t choose not to believe in God, it’s just that it’s too much work to believe in Him.
Edit: Hm… I didn’t structure that properly, it’s hard to explain, but I’m not an athiest in the way you see it as.(A religion) shrtcat edited this message on 12/07/2008 10:12PM |

question was: could you prove me wrong. You never said yes or no, which is what a question like that calls for. |

Hobart Bliggity Posted: Please demonstrate that you can have something that is an equilateral quadrilateral with all interior angles as right angles also be the locus of all points equidistant from a central point at the same time.
I know you will dodge that. It’s fun to watch you dodge. I’m loving it. |

Hobart Bliggity Posted: I answered it. Now then, show me how you can have an object which is an equilateral quadrilateral with all interior angles as right angles also be the locus of all points equidistant from a central point at the same time.

OverclockedJesus Posted: Not if some popular scientific hypotheses are correct. Small apparent variations in the cosmological constant could be due to folds in space/time. The distances could be tremendous – millions of light-years could cause an alteration so large it would cease to resemble our current location.

Thanks for proving my point for me. Neither of us can conclusively prove the other wrong. You have your definitions but without being able to see all facets my creation you can’t know for sure. Yes, in your mind it’s impossible, but you can’t prove it. |

Here I drew a square circle: Log in to see images!
It follows all rules you set forth. The only angle we can see it from is this one though, so you’ll just have to believe me that it is what I say it is. |

check out this cool version of pascal’s wager i came up with:
if atheists are right, there is no afterlife and though they will be proven right when they die they will no longer have the ability to gloat about it, or even have teh satisfaction of knowing they were right
if god is real, and there is an afterlife religious people will be proven right and will be able to gloat smugly for eternity.
i think the choice is obvious here Log in to see images! BirdofPrey edited this message on 12/07/2008 10:20PM |

Hobart Bliggity Posted: Rather, you proved my point by dodging. You know that it’s logically impossible to have a square circle. Why you will not admit that is….something you have to deal with.
Hobart Bliggity Posted: Oh it’s not that; it’s that you believe that faith trumps everything. Faith is a cop-out.
Hobart Bliggity Posted: And that’s all I need. The logically impossible cannot exist, as it is also metaphysically impossible (though the reverse need not be true). A ball cannot be all red and all green at the same time and respect.
That you wish to substitute some cartoon for reality is your problem. |
