Recently I have devoted a few hours a day to what started as harmless trolling. This is forumwarz, I think everyone trolls someone every now and then, though it seems to be a feeding ground for elitists and attention seekers. Normally I would thrive in such an environment. It has occurred to me that perhaps, ever so slightly I might need to tone it down a bit. I am certainly not the worst here, though I think it would be safe to say that several of us need to tone it down.

I am not easily offended. I signed it, meant it, and wear it as a lapel pin. However, I do think there should be limits to what is and is not acceptable to the millieu. At what point does it become a matter of lulz to glorify enjoy, pedophilia, domestic violence, psychosis, ephebophilia, and many more. I am certainly guilty of perpetuating this problem, but at what point is the line drawn. The moderators take everything with a grain of salt, and there are bans everyday. Though I am starting to believe that no amount of moderation will fix the fundamental flaw with these forums and IDC. This flaw is that Lulz and pwnage have become so desired that human decency has vanished. Again this is yet another area where I am guilty.

This being said I would ask that while having fun and continuing in verbal horseplay, we draw limits for ourselves and try to show some humanity. Unless of course you are a robot, in that case you are likely operating within command parameters.

This is not to say avoid lulz or trolling. But to weigh your decisions in how far you go against some level of human decency.

Perhaps it would be possible for those who thrive on trolling to persist without making constant attacks on sexual orientation and gender. While this cannot be expected it would be nice to hear some original insults that are not just another set have randomly strung together curse words.

Also, what if any reason do you have to proclaim yourself a fan of lolicons and underage girls if not to outright admit to being a pedo?

On one hand I can understand the “easily” bit in “I am not easily offended” still allows for the user to be offended at the most extreme things. On the other hand, what you have mentioned has not been all that extreme.

I’m going to go with the latter. Get out (or at least shut up).
